The next day, Taehyung paced up and down in front of the school building, waiting for the younger ravenette with his mind occupied by nothing but said ravenette. He even forgot about his now probably ex-best friend for a while.

Not a single soul was there, a scene quite unfamiliar for him. The usually so loud and obnoxious chatter was nowhere to be heard, just the all too familiar chirping of the singing birds filling his ears. They sounded like voices inside his head telling him to stop overthinking despite him not being able to understand what they were actually chirping about.

"Tae." The brunette turned around, smiling as he saw Jungkook jog towards him, his hair bouncing up and down along with him cutely which made the older boy smile like an idiot.

He spread his arms out wide, planning to hug the boy but let out a gasp of surprise as Jungkook turned him around by a simple grab of his shoulders and wrapped his arms around his waist from behind instead. His chest was slightly heaving up and down and his breath was quicker than usual due to him just jogging all the way to school.

"O-Oh... um, hi," Taehyung squeaked, feeling the other laugh breathily against his neck.
"Hi, beautiful. Thank you for being here, I need this. I'm kinda sad," he muttered. He opened his closed eyes and couldn't resist pressing a little kiss on the brunette's nape.

Taehyung gasped, both of them slightly blushing at that little action. "What happened?"
Jungkook sighed, tightening his hold.
"Your shit of an ex happened. And so did my dad, it's kinda complicated." The older boy wriggled his way out of his hold and widened his eyes, not believing what he was hearing right now.

"Wait a second. Ruo texted you?! Or talked to you?! What did he say?" The ravenette shrugged, not far as angry as he was yesterday.
"Oh, you can imagine. He texted me, I kinda lashed out on him and got pissed when I realized it was him. And then he threatened me and told me to have some respect and blah, blah, blah. That sort of stuff, you know?" Taehyung frowned, shaking his head fiercely.

"Kook, you need to take this seriously. He's not one to mess around with. You may think I'm overreacting but I'm not. You know, I suddenly remembered. When we were together, there was this girl who seemed to have a crush on me. Always looked at me, smiled when I was there, I felt kinda sorry for her. Ruo noticed and literally tormented her to no end, that poor girl. She got expelled. She was such a innocent kid, there's no way she got expelled just like that. He fabricated some kind of fake story and of course, everyone believed him, including the principal." Jungkook stayed silent for a while, eyebrows furrowed.

"Wait a second," he mumbled to himself. "He knew about my family. How did he even know?" He then looked up and locked eyes with the brunette who just gaped at him worriedly.
"You know... This may be a bit off-topic. But yesterday, my father had a little talk with me. He... He wants me to come back to him, to Busan. And that asshole, he told me he knew what we talked about. How..." Taehyung's jaw dropped, shock taking over him.

"Why didn't you tell me? What if he's planning on expelling you too? His parents are close with the principal, he'll believe him in a wink, no matter what kind of bullshit story he comes up with!" The ravenette stayed silent for a while, looking onto the ground as he thought about what could happen.

"'If you step another toe out of line, I'll take you back and send you to boarding school. They won't be as nice to you as your cousin Seokjin there.' That's what dad told me before he sent me to Seoul. And yesterday, he called because he didn't think it wasn't normal for a seventeen-year old boy to live with his cousin. If I get expelled,..." All of a sudden, he looked as if he could start crying any moment. Taehyung, noticing that, rushed towards him and cupped his face immediately, his palms warming the cold skin.
