Chapter 61

Taehyung strived hard in order for his plan to work without a single flaw.

He kept searching for evidence on Social Media, finding a video of Lee Ruo leaving Jackson's party much, much later than himself and Jimin. A heavy bruise was decorating his face from when Jimin had punched him. Would that be a convincing piece of evidence? He hoped so. It was obvious that all three of them had walked up and down the same staircase and since Jackson's top floor had only three rooms (a bathroom with a broken sink, a laundry room and the bedroom), it was crystal clear that they all had been in the same room.

He also found a video of Jimin walking up those exact same stairs, looking worried and extremely suspicious, those emotions being obvious even in the bad lighting. Bless Jackson for taking so many videos on that particular day.

Apart from that, he had been regularly texting BamBam to check up on the second part of his plan. The progress was still small for now, but since both boys liked playing video games, he imagined that part possible to achieve. An exciting round of playing Grand Theft Auto and Ruo would probably spill his darkest secrets unknowingly. The bare thought of that made a rush of satisfaction, maybe even excitement, run through his whole body.

Would he finally get his well-deserved revenge and justice? He'd do anything.

When he told Jungkook about involving BamBam in his plan, he did not seem very happy. In fact, he seemed quite furious.

"Didn't I ask you not to put yourself in danger, Tae? BamBam is a bad guy, you can't put your trust in him! And what? He asked you on a date after knowing what you went through?! Please don't tell me you trust him," he exclaimed, sounding quite upset.

Taehyung sighed. "I know, and there is no one who hates him more than me but I've got no other option! You don't want to go back to Busan and never see me again, do you? And I don't want my assaultor running around like he's the king of the world still doing fucked up shit! He promised me not to kiss or touch me and maybe deep down, he still has a rationally thinking brain! Just... damn it, Jungkook, give this a chance. This could save both our problems," he spoke, his raised voice toning down more and more as he did so.

Jungkook ran a hand through his hair, sighing in frustration. "Fine," he reluctantly said after a while. "But text me twice every hour, please. And call me if he tries to do anything you don't like!" The brunette smiled, nodding with a little smile.
"Of course. Don't be so unconfident now, you know very well that I wouldn't dream of going on a date with him if I had a choice. If a few hours with BamBam means I get what I want, I'd gladly take it. And in response to your earlier question: No, I don't trust him. But he's the best I've got."

The ravenette nodded. "I understand. I'm sorry if I sound like an over-possessive jerk, I'm just worried about you. Tell me if you feel pressured. I know we aren't dating yet, but I still feel a sense of protection over you. Stupid, I know." Taehyung shook his head and intertwined their hands swiftly.
"No. Not stupid. It's sweet, okay? I appreciate it. But... just trust me on this one, alright?"

He then cupped the younger's face and pecked his lips shortly. And then, he felt his cheeks redden.
"Oh god, you were right. We really do act like a couple. But I like it that way, just a little bit more of patience. I still have a third part of my plan, I don't know if you'll like it or not so I won't tell you yet." Surprisingly, the ravenette nodded understandingly.

"It doesn't matter if I like it or not. You have to like it, it has to feel like it's right for you. I shouldn't have got upset earlier. Just- don't put yourself in danger and if there's anything I can do to help, you need to tell me." He smiled slightly.

"Tomorrow's a Saturday, let's go on a date. H-Hangout. I obviously have all the time in the world and you should take a break from school. Being inside all the time gets unbearable sometimes, by the way. Like you could lose your sanity. Let's go somewhere fun." Taehyung immediately felt excited, nodding enthusiastically.
