Out of all things Taehyung had expected to happen on the following Monday, this was not one of them.

He should've been able to anticipate and foresee it, but some part of him seemingly didn't want it to be true.
And in retrospect, he really should have.

As he sat in his desk, not expecting anything eventful to happen today, he tapped his fingers on the wood as he waited for Mr. Lee to enter the classroom and start yet another crucially boring Maths lesson.

"Good morning, class!," the teacher's voice boomed through the classroom, Taehyung huffing and other students in the back groaning, Mr. Lee's Maths classes were definetely nothing to look forward to.

"We have a new student today, though it's almost the end of term." Taehyung's ears perked.
"He actually used to go to this school before but his family moved away for about a year, so he had to transfer schools. But now he's back, isn't that great?"

"Students, please welcome back Lee Ruo!
Ruo, you may enter," the man exclaimed cheerfully. Taehyung's heart stopped for a moment.

That name.

Hoseok gasped beside him. Jimin turned towards him with wide eyes.

And immediately, the brunette felt numb. Like everything was blocked out and the only thing he could feel was his heart pumping faster, its beat resonating in his ears and his breaths quickening gradually.
And as he saw the person stepping through the classroom door, he completely shut down.

His breath got caught in his throat and inside, he felt nothing but fear. Pure fear.
His body felt limp and paralysed and he felt helpless, his ears blocking out the murmurs of the students welcoming him back as if it were nothing. He was close to hyperventilating. Or was he already hyperventilating? He couldn't tell, his perception of anything failing him.

And then he saw his eyes. Looking at him.
And then, he started smiling. Knowingly, teasingly, triumphantly.

"S-Sir, I need to use the bathroom for a minute." Gaining the last strength from his pretty much limp body, the brunette didn't even ask for his teacher's approval and ran out of the classroom as fast as his shaky legs let him.

He needed to be far, far away.

And outside the classroom, he started walking around in circles, his hands covering his eyes and his mouth repeating the same words over and over: "This can't be happening. This must be a nightmare."

He felt tears welling up his eyes, feeling a panic attack about to come. What was happening? Why was this happening?

And while Taehyung was in tears and felt his breath catch in his throat as he slid along the wall and hugged his knees in attempt to make himself appear smaller and calm down, Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows back in the classroom, wondering what the hell just happened.

He knew something was wrong again. He could feel it.

And he definetely did not like the secrecy. There was something Taehyung still hadn't told him and he wanted to know what it was. He was extremely worried about the other boy, not being able to get himself to wait until break time.

"Sir, I need to use the toilet too," he just said, standing up and leaving the classroom, Mr. Lee sighing in defeat and mumbling something that sounded a lot like "Those damn kids, can't they just use the toilet before class?"
The new student looked at Jungkook inspectively, maybe longer than he should've.

And as soon as the ravenette left the classroom, he saw the brunette crouched up against the wall with teary eyes and his hands tugging at his hair frustratedly.
"Taehyung, what's wrong?," he asked carefully, squatting next to the older boy and holding his wrists gently to stop the hair-pulling.
