After they were done feeding Yeontan, the two of them made their way towards the bathroom to get some cleaning done.
Admittedly, it was pretty dirty and they had to work hard to scrub the dirt off the tiles, clean the bathtub and the shower, sort the towels and many more.
But after a good two or three hours, they were done and Taehyung was happy to say he didn't accidentally slip once the embarrassing moment from last week didn't resurface.
Even though that moment wasn't all too bad. Maybe. The two of them were absolutely exhausted and wanted nothing more than to pass out on the cold floor but then decided to find a better solution, which consisted of walking to the kitchen and getting some cold drinks out of the fridge.
Taehyung's throat was burning and practically begging for some liquid so when he finally drank some of his cold lemonade, he almost moaned at the taste. Same went for Jungkook.
After they had gulped down their refreshing drink, they let themselves fall on the living room couch.
And the raven-haired boy decided to start a conversation."Hey, Taehyung. I have a question." Said boy lifted his head and looked at him, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
"Huh?"Also wiping the sweat off his forehead, Jungkook went ahead: "What are you scared of?" The brunette furrowed his eyebrows.
"Why are you asking?""You know my biggest fear, so I should know yours."
For a while, Taehyung just sat there with drowsy eyes and parted lips, until he finally gave an answer:
"I'm afraid of storms. Lightning, thunder, heavy rain. All that. And heights. Like, really high ones."He felt his heart pound as soon as he said that. This was the first time he had opened up to anyone about his fears to anyone except for Hoseok and Jimin. He didn't even know why he told him. Did he even trust Jungkook?
Well, fears weren't that big of a deal, right? Everyone had them.Jungkook seemed to sense his nervosity. Then again, how could he not? Taehyung was internally panicking and it was very visible.
The younger boy laid a hand on his shoulder."Hey, why do you look so anxious? It's nothing to be ashamed of, everyone's scared of something. I won't tell anyone, don't worry." He smiled sweetly, making Taehyung calm down, a bit.
"I think I haven't told you but I'm also scared of microwaves. The day the dog at my mother's bit me, I tried to distract myself by looking at food heating up in the microwave. And when I got too close, it made a really loud 'ding'-sound. I freaked out so hard, I don't even know why. And still, microwaves creep me out. Childhood trauma, huh?" He smiled.
And surprisingly, Taehyung smiled back. "I guess so. My fear has nothing to do with childhood trauma... just... different trauma?"
Oh crap, he wasn't supposed to say that. He could not expose the deepest secret of his life, not now and most definetely not to Jeon Jungkook. He just couldn't."Wait... What happened?" The ravenette furrowed his eyebrows and and looked at him dramatically, the blonde sucking in air in response to that.
"Nothing... I... can't tell you. It's a secret. I'm sorry," he said hastily."Hey, you don't need to tell me anything. It's okay." The older boy lifted his head and looked at him calmly. No matter what Taehyung had said, some part of him had always known that Jungkook was trustworthy. He just hadn't wanted to believe it, somehow.
"Thanks for understanding." He gave a small smile, making Jungkook's heart flutter again. Was he processing in winning Taehyung's heart? Well, obviously, he was. He just couldn't believe it.
He also couldn't help but be curious and worried about his supposed trauma. It must've been terrible and it had really screwed him over and gave him lifelong trust issues. But he didn't want to be pushy or make him uncomfortable by asking him even more. Even though it had clearly destroyed him.
