(F/N) POV)

As soon as our fight with Aizawa was over, we went to Recovery Girl just in case we needed anything. Recovery Girl smiled, "(L/N), that was an extraordinary fight. Yaoyorozu and Todoroki, you two did splendid! Are any of you injured?"

I shrugged, "I don't know. I think Todoroki and I might have a little burn from Mr. Aizawa's scarf, but that's about it."

Recovery Girl sighed, "(L/N), you're too much like your mother for your own good. I know that you sprained your ankle during your fight. I'll just heal you two quickly. Yaoyorozu, you're free to go." I was hoping that I could cover up my ankle, but oh well.

I sighed, "Dang it, I'm missing Denki's fight! Nice job by the way, Todoroki."

He nodded, "Thanks, you too."

With a kiss on the forehead from recovery girl, I felt the pain in my ankle go away. Recovery Girl smiled, "Well, if you take it easy, you should be free to go. Todoroki, I'll heal you next."

I thanked her and then left, staggering out of her office and into the screening room just in time to see Denki and Mina fail. "Oh, hey guys." I waved.

Midoriya spun right around, "(L/N)! That was an amazing fight! I suppose that even though you heavily rely on your quirks in most situations, you are very skilled in hand-to-hand combat, although being on the same level as Mr. Aizawa at our age is truly spectacular! I thought that his physical strength was-" "What he means is nice job. Ribbit. We all were impressed." Tsu sighed.

I laughed, "Thanks, Midoriya. And thank you too, Tsu. Iida, I saw that you passed too! Congrats."

Uraraka joined us soon after, "Whoa, Mina's team lost? And (L/N), that was really cool how you beat our teacher!"

I laughed, rubbing the back of my neck. "It's not that big of a deal, but I'm happy you guys passed too!" Uraraka thanked me, and then turned at the sound of Tsu's voice. "Ochako. What were you talking to Aoyama about right before the end of your match against Thirteen?"

"Uh...oh, well.." As if on cue, her face turned bright red. "Ah, it was nothing! You've got it all wrong!" Momo sighed, "There's no need for further questioning, everyone. I think that Tsu, (F/N) and I can all assume what the issue on the table is here."

I smiled, "No kidding. It's obvious."

A buzzer cut us off, and Jirou and Koda's team started their exam. We couldn't tell what was going on with the audio portion, but in the end they did win. As did Hagakure and Shoji's team against Snipe.

After that, it was Sero's turn. By the time the camera zoomed in on him, he was asleep on Midnight's lap.

"WHAT? How is he already down for the count!? And Mineta is running away!?" I shouted. Momo face-planted, "He's a coward."

Oh to be Midnight. Wait, what? No way, I did not just think that.

Tsu smiled, "(F/N), you and Ochako both are open books." Uraraka pouted, "What did I ever do to you?" Tsu smirked, "Ribbit. Sorry, but it's true."

Midoriya tilted his head in sync with Iida. Iida spoke, "I'm not sure what you are all talking about." Midoriya agreed, "Yeah, I'm lost here."

I laughed, "Uraraka, it seems you're not the only dense one around here." Momo laughed, pulling a small scarf from her arm, "There there. It will be okay."

After laughing for a solid thirty seconds, I turned my attention back to the fight. Mineta was still running, and he was literally crying blood. "Gross."

Recovery Girl sighed, "It might be hard for a kid like that to make it out of this school." "Huh?" I tilted my head. Midoriya chimed in, "Yeah, what do you mean?"

Recovery Girl continued, "U.A. is constantly creating new obstacles that our students have to overcome. In order to keep moving forward successfully, students need to have a concrete goal to focus on."

I smiled, I already have that. Mom, Dad, did you see me fight today? I hope you're with me still, because my concrete goal is to carry out the dreams you never got to fufill.

Recovery Girl continued while I was self-monologuing. "If your desire is just to be a hero for no reason, your path isn't going to be easy. If someone who's only wish is to become a hero reaches their goal, then they have no real future. I wonder, is there a goal in that child's heart he can focus on to win?"

Mineta stopped running, and it seemed that he was thinking. But his thoughts were cut off when Midnight slapped him across the face with her whip. Mineta started running away again, but he was holding his breath this time. He hid behind a rock, and after a couple seconds he used his quirk t trap Midnight in place. From there, Mineta ran to the gate.

"Even I have to admit, that was pretty smart." I crossed my arms. Mineta dragged Sero through the gate. I sighed, "I might as well go wait until Sero wakes up."

It was as if something finally clicked in Iida's head. "Is this...called having a crush?"

I screeched before I could open the door, "IIDA! THAT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE MENTIONED!"

Iida nodded, clearly frightened by my yelling. It's just a crush after all, I'll get over it eventually.

I walked with Recovery Girl to her office. Mineta set Sero down on the floor, "Careful, he's heavier than he seems." I sighed, "Mineta, don't just leave him on the floor. And maybe you're just weaker than you thought."

Mineta smiled, "Maybe I am. But, Sero just risked failing to practical for me. He cares about you way more than he cares about me. I think he's willing to risk his life for you, so make sure you don't let him go. Your fight against Aizawa was pretty cool, too. I wasn't expecting you to win that one, no offence."

I sighed as I picked Sero up, pulling one of his arms around my shoulder, "None taken. I know how powerful Aizawa is. To be fair, I wasn't expecting you to beat Midnight either."

Recovery Girl stuck her head into the hallway, "(L/N), I have a bed ready for Sero."

I nodded, taking Sero inside the room and setting him down where Recovery Girl had gestured. "He should be awake in a little while. You may stay in here, if you'd like. But I can tell based on who's fighting right now that this room is going to get cramped pretty soon."

"Thank you, Recovery Girl." I smiled.

With that, she left. I let Mineta's words sink in. I can't believe that pervert said something sentimental. I looked at Sero as he slept, his chest rising and falling with every breath. And would he actually die for me? Probably not.

It was in that moment that I realized that Recovery Girl's quirk was starting to take effect on me, and I started to feel drowsy. I suppose I could sleep until Sero wakes up.

And with that, I drifted off into a deep sleep.

(Sero POV)

The second I woke up, I realized that I wasn't where I was a minute ago. And then I remembered what had happened.

So, there's a good chance I failed the practical then. Great.

I noticed then that my leg felt heavier than before. I glanced down at my leg only to find that (F/N) was asleep. I whispered, "Did she wait here...for me?"

I smiled at the thought. She looked gorgeous while she was sleeping, and at peace too.

If only I had known then that this moment was one of the last peaceful moments before then.

This chapter took a while, and I'm very sorry about that! I have been caught up in artwork, and I'm ashamed to admit it but I've been working on stories I haven't even published yet.

I'm trying my best to get on a schedule for when to update, and until then, I'm really sorry if updates take a little while!

If you have suggestions, feel free to comment!
