(F/N) POV)
After another nightmare that left me shaking, I walked to the front gates of the school to be greeted by none other than the grinning Sero Hanta.
"Hey (F/N), Kaminari!" We nodded and said good morning before entering the school building. I frowned, "Wonder how Mr. Aizawa's doing."
Denki nodded, "Yeah, but I'm sure Recovery Girl fixed up his bones, right?" Sero nodded, "Yeah, let's hope so."
When we opened the door, the entire class was waiting for us. Hagakure squealed, "(F/N)! You're okay!" I nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. And why is everyone calling me by my first name?" Sero nudged me, "Because it's a pretty name."
I felt heat rise to my face but Ojiro spoke up, "Ashido told us to call you that, so we did. Sorry if that made you uneasy. We were all worried for you."
I smiled and Tokoyami commented, "Especially Sero. He didn't put you down until he got to Recovery Girl." Sero's face turned a little pink but Momo piped up, "In other words, (F/N), we are very glad you're safe!"
Before I could say thank you, Iida ran through the door, "Class is starting in two minutes! Everyone, please take your seats!"
Bakugo walked in the room last and Iida zeroed in on him. I shook my head, "Bad choice, Iida."
We had no time to pry Bakugo away from Iida since the bell rang and we sat down in our seats.
We began to talk about how we were on the news and how we are "super famous" now.
Sero whispered to me, "Wonder who our homeroom teacher's gonna be today. My money's on Present Mic." I shook my head, "Nah, my money's on Midnight."
Our conversation was cut off by a yellow sleeping bag opening the door. I stared in surprise, along with the rest of my classmates. Then it really sunk in, "HUHHH!?"
I stood up, "Mr. Aizawa, you should be resting! You're hurt!"
He shook his head, "My well being is irrelevant. What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet."
Our fight? Does that mean...
Mr. Aizawa spoke again, "The UA Sports Festival is about to start."
"WHY WOULD YOU SCARE US LIKE THAT?!"
Kirishima stood up, "Let's go kick some ass!" Denki shoved a hand in his face, "Wait a second-" "Is it really such a good idea to hold the sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?" Jirou finished his idea.
Ojiro frowned, "They could attack once we're all in the same place." Mr. Aizawa sighed, "Apparently, this is how the administration is showing that the threat has been handled and the school is safer than ever. Plus, they're beefing up security compared to past years. This event is a huge opportunity for UA students. It's not something we can cancel because of a few villains."
Mineta looked like he was about to pee his pants, "Um, why not? It's just the sports festival."
Midoriya turned around, "This competition is really important."
"Of course I do," Mineta said, "I just don't wanna get murdered!"
I started to sweat, remembering my words from back then. I felt a tap on my shoulder and when I turned I was met with Sero's smiling face. Somehow, that calmed me down.
Mr. Aizawa spoke again, "Our Sports Festival is one of the most watched events in the entire world."
You could say that again! Denki and I watched it every single year!
"In the past, everyone obsessed over the Olympics, but then quirks became a thing. The Olympics have been drastically reduced. For anyone who cares about competition, there's only one tournament that matters, the UA Sports Festival." Aizawa finished his monologue.
I whispered, "And top heroes will watch us."
Momo looked up, "This is where you get scouted!"
Denki smiled, "She's right! After graduating, a lot of people join pro agencies as a sidekick!" Jirou looked up, "Yeah, but sometimes that's as far as people go. They miss their chance and they stay eternal sidekicks."
I finished her thought and turned to my childhood friend, "Denki, that's the route you're taking. You're pretty stupid."
Jirou and I started laughing at Denki's glare and Mr. Aizawa went on about hero agencies and the importance of the festival. "That means you'd better not slack off on your training."
"Right!"
"Class is dismissed."
We all stood up and got out of our chairs. I made my way over to the Bakusquad where Mina smiled, "Sooo you guys wanna train together!?" I nodded, "Hell yeah! I have to improve my quirk a lot if I'm gonna win this thing!"
Bakugo rolled his eyes, "Whatever. You stand no chance, Avatar."
I pouted, "Or maybe you're just too scared that I'll beat you, Blasty!" He glared at me, "WHAT WAS THAT YOU STUPID LITTLE LOSER!?! I'LL KILL YOU!"
I laughed as I dove behind Sero, "So I'm stupid, little, and a loser. Blasty, I think you enjoy my company!"
Kirishima got Bakugo to calm down and I came around from my hiding spot behind Sero. I feel safe whenever I'm near him. I hope that's a good thing.
(Time Skip)
Cementos walked out of the classroom as the bell for lunch rang. Kirishima jumped up, "The villain stuff sucks, but I'M SO PUMPED UP!"
I sighed as Sero nudged Kirishima with his elbows, "Put on a good show and we're basically on the road to being pros!"
I walked over to the boys, "You people. Being a pro isn't that simple. It's not like you're set for life once you go pro either. And, if you don't do good, you won't get a single agency to notice you. So don't do good and your chances aren't good either."
Sero sulked, "Man, if I'm up against you, (F/N), I don't stand a chance!"
I blushed, "What do you mean!? There's always a chance of victory and besides, I don't have full control over all aspects of my quirk and-" "On a totally different note," Tokoyami interrupted my rant, "We need to make the most of our chances."
I smiled, "Yeah, for sure!"
Denki sighed, "You're so lucky, Shoji. People are bound to notice your unique quirk!"
Shoji spoke, "Sure, but what matters is that I show how useful I can be!"
I poked Sero's shoulder, "Wanna go get lunch?" He smiled, "Yeah, sure. I was just about to ask you the same thing!"
We left the classroom and Sero sighed, "I don't really stand a chance, do I?"
I shook my head, "Nah, that's not it! You do stand a chance. It all depends on how you use your quirk." He looked up, "Yeah. I guess you're right. Can't wait to start training together, huh?"
I smiled, a light shade of pink dusting my face, "Yeah, it'll be fun!"
