(F/N) POV)
As we settled back down for class, Mr. Aizawa started talking. "Class, it's time to pick your hero names. These names will most likely be temporary, but take this seriously or-"
"You'll have hell to pay later!" Midnight burst open the door. "What you pick today could be your codename for life. You'd better be careful, or you'll be stuck with something utterly indecent."
Mr. Aizawa continued talking, "Yeah, she's got a good point. Midnight is going to have final approval over your names. It's not my forte. The name you give yourself is important, it helps reinforce your image and shows what kind of hero you wanna be in the future. A codename tells people exactly what you represent. Take "All Might" for example." With that being said, Mr. Aizawa curled up in his sleeping bag and fell asleep.
We each passed whiteboards and markers back until everyone had one. I sighed, still having no idea what my hero name would be. I want to give myself a name like my parents, something that represents my quirk. If I didn't carry on my parents' name, then what did I survive back then for?
After a couple minutes of thinking, to no avail need I say, Midnight smiled. "Now students, who among you is ready to share?"
Wait, we're presenting these!? Oh no, I gotta think of something quick!
Aoyama walked up to the front of the room, "Hold your breath. The Shining Hero. My name is ✨I can not stop twinkling✨! Mon amis! You can't deny my sparkle."
Come on!
As Midnight makes a few changes to his name, Aoyama walks back to his seat having the name "Can't stop twinkling."
That's....a weird name...to say the least.
Mina smiled as she made her way to the stand, "Okie dokie, let me go next! My codename; Alien Queen!" Well that's good one! Maybe- "Hold on! Like that horrible monster with the acidic blood? I don't think so." Midnight cuts off my train of thought.
Mina walked back to her seat with her head hung low.
Since the first two were so weird, I feel like I have to come up with something really clever now!
"Ribbit" Tsu raises her hand, "I think I've got one. Okay if I go next?"
"Come on up!"
"I've had this name in mind since grade school. Rainy Season Hero: Froppy!" Tsu smiles. Midnight slides behind Tsu, "That's delightful! It makes you sound approachable! What a great example of a name everyone will love!"
Everyone started chanting, "Froppy! Froppy! Froppy!"
Thanks, Tsu! Finally a normal name!
Kirishima was next, "I've got mine, too! The Sturdy Hero. My name is Red Riot!"
Midnight perked up, "'Red Riot'? Interesting. You're paying homage to the Chivalrous Hero, Crimson Riot, yes?"
Kirishima rubbed the back of his head, "That's right. He may be kind of old school, but some day I wanna be just like he was. Crimson's my idol!" Midnight nodded, "Hm. If you're bearing the name of someone you admire, you have that much more to live up to."
Kirishima's smile faded to a serious face, "I accept the challenge."
Whoa, that means that if I name myself after my parents, I'll have to be better than them! Well, maybe I can be, who knows.
Sero leaned over to me, almost falling out of his chair in the process. "You good?" I asked him. He replied with a nod, "Yep. Any ideas for your hero name?"
