Chapter 26

(F/N) POV)

Waking up this morning, I felt like I had gained two hundred pounds. All my joints ached from the forest, and waking up at five in the morning didn't really help me. My hair was a mess, and I was already tired just by opening my eyes. I looked over at Jirou who had laid out her mattress next to mine, "I can't do this today."

She yawned as she sat up, rubbing her shoulder, "Me either. Just six more days to go until we can finally take a break." Uraraka, who had just woken up, shook her head, "But then we're back to school. I don't really think I can rest up within that short period of time."

I nodded, "Good point. And just think, we have so much training to do today, too."

Jirou stood up, grabbing her gym uniform, "Just six more days, (F/N). Just six more days."

(Time Skip)

After we had gotten ready, everyone gathered outside. Sero stood beside me, yawning. "My elbows were bleeding last night. That hasn't happened since art class in elementary school."

I laughed, "I was out like a light. Probably partially because I used my quirk so much and partially because I barely ate anything all day."

I glanced up at Sero, who's usual smile was replaced by an exhausted frown. His hair was extremely messy, and he seemed like half of his usual self. Then again, we all seemed like half our usual selves.

Mr. Aizawa stood in front of us all, "Good morning class. Today we begin a training camp that will increase your strength. Our goal is to increase your skills exponentially, so that each of you earns your provisional license. This will allow you to face the dangers  that continue to fester in the darkness. Proceed carefully. Look alive, Bakugo." Mr. Aizawa then tossed a baseball to Bakugo, which the blinde caught with ease. "Try throwing that for me."

Bakugo sighed, "Yeah, sure. Like in the fitness test." Mr. Aizawa nodded, "That's right. When you first started school here, your record was 705.2 meters. Let's see if you've improved."

Mina squealed, "Oh, I get it! We're checking our progress."

Sero looked at Mina and I, then back to Bakugo who was preparing to throw, "A lot's happened to us in the last three months. Maybe he can throw it a whole mile now!"

I nodded, "Maybe, but that might be pushing it a little." I heard Kirishima yell from behind me, "C'mon, get it, Bakugo!"

After mumbling a few words to himself, Bakugo threw the baseball as hard as he could. "No one blink. GO TO HELL!"

I sighed, "That one's new. Last time he said 'die."

Mr. Aizawa held up the screen, "That was 709.6 meters."

Sero rubbed his elbow, "That's it? Kinda disappointing."

After a speech from Aizawa, we all were sent into the woods to improve on our quirks.

"Hey, Tsu!" I waved toward my friend. She turned around, "Ribbit, what's up?" I smiled, "Wanna train together? I'm thinking that if I work on my water element you could work on your swimming."

She shrugged, "Ribbit. Sure, but I want to work on my climbing too, so maybe we should do that for half the day?"

I smiled, "I'd like that! I found a pond in the woods, we can go there!"

With light conversations along the way, we finally got to the pond. Tsu smiled, "Ribbit, thanks for this!" I nodded, "Hop in!"

Tsu jumped into the water, and after I lifted up the entire pond, we heard a very loud explosion. Tsu poked her head out of the water, "Sound like Bakugo's training pretty hard." I laughed, "No kidding. Tsu, how long can you hold your breath for?"

She thought for a moment, "Well, considering I'm a frog, for a very long time."

I nodded, "I'm gonna cover the water with the dirt, okay?" Tsu nodded from inside the pond. Taking a deep breath, I lifted the dirt up to the water. I managed to hold that for a little while. After slowly putting the pond back in place, Tsu surfaced. I wiped my brow, "Well, how was it?"

She smiled, "Not too bad, ribbit. Next time, maybe try using your fire to regulate the temperature of turn it to mist." I nodded, "Thanks, Tsu!"

(Time Skip)

My auntie pointed to the food on he table, "Now, remember what I said? We're not serving you food anymore!" Ragdoll nodded, "If you guys wanna eat, you'll have to make your own meals! Starting with curry!"

I sighed after a lecture from Iida, "Might as well get to work."

Todoroki lit up a stove right away. Mina called out to him, "Todoroki, could you get this one too?"

Sero turned to Bakugo, "Use an explosion to light that!"

Before the loud sound, all I heard was, "THIS IS SO BENEATH ME!"

Tokoyami screeched, "Too much!" Sero shook his head, "We should have just asked (F/N) to light that." I laughed, "Bakugo, you literally blew up the whole stove. I got this." I lit my finger ablaze, then stuck my hand into the wood that had just been placed by Sero. I shook my finger to get rid of the flame, then high-fived Sero.

He smiled, "And that's how it's done." I laughed, "Now's the hard part, actually cooking the food." Bakugo rolled his eyes, "That's the easiest part, dumbass!"

After we'd made the curry, we shoved every single bit of it down.

I was done pretty early, so I started cleaning up. I was soon joined by Sero, who was balancing a ton of plates. He smiled, "So, we're on cleanup duty."

I sighed, "Figures."

He laughed, gently setting the plates down, "It won't be so bad. After all, I've got you. And you've got me." A blush creeped it's way to my face, "I guess that won't be too bad after all."

He nodded, "You wanna dry the plates?"

I laughed, "Sure thing. If that means you're the one washing them, then I'm in."

We got to work, and with the two of us working together, we were able to get the dishes done quickly. I held out the towel for the last dish, but instead received a splash of water to the face. I squealed, "Sero! You're gonna pay for that!" I hugged him, wiping my face on his shirt.

He laughed, "Come on! I need this shirt for my lessons with Aizawa!" "Well," I laughed, "You should have thought about that before you splashed me!" 

We heard Mr. Aizawa yell, "Sero, get out here!"

He jumped, "Coming!" Sero turned to me, "I've gotta go. See you tomorrow?"

I nodded, "Yeah, see you tomorrow."
