Chapter 16

(F/N) POV)

As Todoroki and I rushed to the location Midoriya sent us, we saw the city being burnt to rubble. I started to panic, this is exactly what it was like when it happened.

When we got to the alleyway, we saw that Iida was laying on the ground, a knife through his arm. When I looked up, I noticed a pro hero laying on the ground, half dead. Then, I saw that the Hero Killer, Stain was standing there, about to attack Midoriya. Todoroki and I stood back to back, and we launched fire attacks from our hands.

Stain dodged them, and I coughed, "Todoroki! I used up most of my power today already getting a better grip on the air element!"

He shouted, "What?! Shoot, okay, get that pro hero out of here!"

I nodded, sprinting over to the pro hero while Stain was still in the air. I picked him up, threw him over my shoulder, and ran. And I didn't stop running until I was far enough away to stop. I set the pro hero down, "Are you okay?"

He shook his head, "Not even close. But I'll manage. You should get back to your friends, they need your help, young hero."

I smiled, I could get used to being called 'hero.'

I started to run back, but on the way, I ran into Endeavor again. He was fighting a nomu, and he seemed like he needed help. I pressed my hands to the ground, wrapping some dirt around the nomu's ankles and up it's legs.

Endeavor looked back at me, an exhausted look on his face. He nodded lightly, then turned back to the nomu and burned it to ashes.

I started to sprint back to the alley, my head pounding. Note to self: Don't use too much of your power too early in the day anymore. I don't know how long I can last in this fight before I puke my guts up. Or how long my nerves will hold out until I have a complete panic attack.

I decided that I'd just power through it, no matter the cost. If it meant saving the entire city, then I'd have to.

I knew that my parents were watching from above, they wouldn't let me lose here.

I rounded the corner to the alley again, and I noticed that the boys weren't in the best condition. The only one up was Midoriya, Todoroki had blood dripping down his arm, and Iida was struggling to stand.

"MIDORIYA!" I yelled, "REST FOR A MINUTE! LET ME HELP YOU!"

Midoriya shook his head, "No, I won't let you!" I sighed, getting ready to fight on the ice battleground that Todoroki has created. "Midoriya, we've gotta fight together."

He nodded, flying into the air as I shot a bolt of lightning out of my finger. Todoroki shot some ice out up onto the wall, spitting fire out of his left side. Stain dodged all of our attacks, but only barely. He cut Midoriya's leg, and to stop Stain from killing Midoriya, I shot a ton of fire out of my hand.

Iida cried, "You have to run!"

Todoroki yelled back, "You wanna make your brother proud?! Then stand up and be Ingenium! Become the hero he wanted you to be!" I got more fire from my arm, launching another attack with Todoroki. 

Stain threw a few small knives, one of them hitting me in the thigh, launching me backwards. I hit my back against the wall, starting to feel a little woozy. After landing a punch on Todoroki, Stain took the knife out of my thigh, licking the blood off of it.

I suddenly felt like I was chained, and I couldn't move. Iida had cut Stain's blade in half, but I couldn't move. I sat there in silence as I watched my friend battle Stain.

"You're a fundamentalist lunatic." Todoroki scowled, "Iida, don't listen to this murderer's nonsense."

"No." Iida spoke, "He's completely correct. (L/N), are you okay?" I tried to nod, but I remembered that I was temporarily paralyzed. So instead, I croaked out a pathetic, "Y-Yeah! I'm fine!"
