(F/N) POV)
The girl was struggling, too weak to even reach for the bread in front of her. She heard her captor grumbling in the distance, "It's okay. We feed her enough so she'll survive."
She felt as though she was going to puke from the emptiness in her stomach. And hearing that, especially at such a young age, was terrifying. She thought to herself, 'what if they kill me? What if I don't get food soon?'
The man who had chained her shouted from the floor above the basement, "Oi! Tomorrow's the day this kid gets outta here! We're gonna make a buttload of cash!" The man on the phone hung up, "I'm aware. I just got off the phone with him, and he's gonna kill the kid on live television!"
She knew in that moment that she had to pretend to be asleep, or else she would die right then and there.
So, when her captors walked over, she-
I jolted out of my deep sleep. "Whoa." I whispered, "They're never that bad." It took me a few minutes to calm down after that.
I glanced over at my clock only to find that there were only a couple more minutes until my alarm would go off. I had to wake up a little earlier today because I had put off packing for the camp until today. To be fair, though, Denki only packed everything he needed last night.
So, instead of waiting those last few minutes, I got up and shut my alarm off. I'd have plenty of time to sleep on the bus, anyways.
After picking out some pairs of pajamas, a few outfits, a couple bathing suits, and every gym uniform in my room, all my clothes were packed. I tossed my new shoes into the bag, and then I picked out some socks. once I was done with that, I put my bug spray in one pouch of my bag and my toothbrush and toothpaste in another.
After that, I got changed into my school uniform and headed downstairs for breakfast. Both of Denki's parents were downstairs already, and the only one missing was the blonde. I sighed as I sat down, (Favorite breakfast food) being placed in front of me by Denki's mom. "Morning, second parents." I yawned. Denki's mom smiled, "Good morning, (F/N). Did you sleep well?"
Denki's father yawned, "I didn't, that's for sure. Stupid neighbors." I smiled, "I slept better than most nights." Denki's dad stopped glaring at the house next door, "Did you have that one nightmare again?"
I nodded, and Denki's mom sighed from in front of the stove, "(F/N), you haven't had that one in while. Are you sure you don't want us to take you to a therapist so you can sleep better?" I shook my head, "I'm sure. One of the reasons I'm going to U.A. to begin with is to get over my trauma."
Denki wobbled into the kitchen, "Morning." His hair was a mess, and he only seemed half-awake. He sighed as he started to eat his food, "Can't sleep because of the neighbors. Why did they feel the need to throw a party last night?"
I shook my head, "No idea. Good thing that wasn't my old house, or else I would have gone crazy."
Denki and I soon finished our breakfast and grabbed our bags. I sighed, hoisting by bag onto my shoulder. "Bye! See you in a week!" Denki's parents smiled as they waved goodbye to us, and we started to walk to school.
Denki whined, "I can't believe I have extra lessonssss!" I laughed, "You'll be fine, Denks. Besides, if you didn't want to take extra lessons you should have just tried harder to pass the exam."
Denki sneered, "Well, Sero has classes with me too! So take that!"
I blushed a little at the mention of Sero, but nonetheless made a comeback. "Well, Jirou doesn't have lessons! How about that!" "DAMMIT SHE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS!" He screeched.
