Bruce: Tony...? You and Thor?
Me: I ship it
Steve: We're going to a club at 7 pm. Everyone meet in the Foyer then.
Bruce: I'm working on something, I'm going to stay in the lab tonight
Tony: No you're not. I'll fire you if you don't come.
Bruce: Fine.
Time Jump To 6 pm
Bucky pov
Someone burst into my room and I yelled, "Hey! Knock?" before I realized it was Y/N in a stunning outfit. Man, that guy is lucky tonight.
"Hi Mr. Barnes, what do you think of my outfit?" She said twirling around.

"I think it.." I stumbled, "It looks very good on you."
"What are you doing tonight?" She said as she walked to my bathroom mirror to fix her lipstick.
"The guys and I are going to the club. Probably just going to get drunk."
She walked over to me and got real close to my face. She was wearing her favorite perfume and I couldn't help but try to get another whiff of it, "Do me a favor and find yourself a girl to date."
I pushed her head lightly, "You wish! You're the only girl I need in my life."
"Yeah, you're right."
I started getting off the bed to get ready for my night out as she said she was going to leave for her date.
"Bucky, I gotta go. If the guy's a creep, I'll call you. Will you pick me up?"
"Of course I will. Have fun." I went over and gave her a tight hug as she rested her head in my neck with her hands wrapped around the back of my neck, and kissed her on the cheek as she still had her hands around me. I cupped her face, whipping away the small mark I left on her cheek with my thumb as we maintained heavy eye contact. And just then, the world felt still and I had just conquered it. Is this the kind of moment people talk about in movies?
She snapped out of it and walked towards my bedroom door, "I love you, please don't let some crazy bitch at the club ruin your night."
"Don't get to attached to this guy, I'll be so miserable. I love you y/n," I said as she was walking out my door.
Every time she told me she loved me, my heart smiled and it always fled to my face.
Time Jump to 7:30 pm
We arrived at the club, the music was blaring and everyone got drinks. Steve came and yelled to me, "Operation find Buck a girl is a go. I'm gonna go tell Sam."
"You don't have to do that," I yelled rolling my eyes knowing i would be teased later.
Steve walked over to Sam and Clint and started yelling at them. Just then, I looked across the room and saw her.
"Y/N?" I walked a little closer. She looked just like her. I went up to her and tapped her shoulder, "Y/n?" Oh shit, that wasn't her.
"Hi pretty boy, want to buy me a drink?" She led me over to the bar. Steve got my eye and gave me a big thumbs up.
"What's your name?" I yelled, not knowing if she could hear me.
"Veronica. And yours?"
"Bucky Barnes." I said confidently.
"Oh my gosh, you're an Avenger! Can we take a picture?"
I nodded. I noticed Veronica looked a lot like y/n. I guess I had a type. I started thinking about what Steve told me. It's time to get out there, Y/N doesn't like me. I need to live my life, so I looked at Veronica and spit out, "Do you have Instagram?" I handed her my phone and she brought up her profile. "Dm me later tonight," She said as she pulled me to the dance floor.
For the rest of the night, we danced together. I often took a break with her to go talk to the guys and keep them updated. Finally around 1 am, we were all tired out and decided to go back to the compound. "Veronica, I'm going to head home. I'll text you." I let go over her hand and she pulled me in to kiss me on the cheek.
"Bro, did you seriously find a girl?" Sam asked as we got into the car.
"Her name is Veronica, she's beautiful. Did you guys see her?"
"Yeah she looks like someone who you're already quite close to." Clint said punching my arm.
"Bucky definitely has a type." Steve said winking at me.
I rolled my eyes and the rest of the guys chuckled.
Finally, we were back at the compound, I was going to go talk to Y/N about her date but I figured she was already asleep so I went to my room instead. I walked in an saw y/n cuddled up in my bed, sleeping peacefully. I quietly went into the bathroom and took a shower, then got ready for bed. I climbed into to bed on the other side as not to wake her. She turned to me and said in a half asleep voice, "How was your night?" Should I tell her about Veronica? No, I'll wait till morning.
"It was good. How was the date?" I said turning off the lamp on my side table.
"Not as amazing as you but he'll do." She said turning to my direction.
She opened her eyes and confessed to me, "I've been having nightmares but I don't when I sleep in here. I hope it's okay if I sleep here tonight?"
My eyes widened, "Of course you can." She scooted closer to me and put my arm around her.
"You're my best friend Bucky, thank you for being so good to me." And that was the last thing she said before she fell asleep.
I laid with my arms around her and my hands rested on her stomach, I couldn't help but think this is how it's supposed to be. Y/N falling asleep in my arms every night. Before I could put enough thought into it, I drifted asleep to the rhythm of her breathing.
