Jimin POV

Jungkook and I arrived at my condo after spending several hours at the hospital. A doctor gave him some heavy pain killers and treated his wounds. The female nurse recommended that Jungkook be monitored for 24 hours due to his bruised ribs and I had volunteered immediately, still feeling guilty about his current condition. His bandages needed to be changed twice a day and he had somewhat limited mobility. We made our way over to my living room slowly, Jungkook letting out a strained groan as I eased him onto my sofa.

"Can I get you anything?" I asked as I gently placed a pillow behind his head for support.

"Uh...some food would be nice."

"Alright, I'll go see what I have." I said as I went into my kitchen. I searched through my refrigerator for a few seconds, trying to come up with a decent meal. "Do you have any allergies?!" I shouted as I looked in my fridge.

"Oh what, that wasn't in my file?!" he quipped back over his shoulder.

"Now don't tell me you're still upset about that!" I laughed.

"Maybe..." he chuckled. "But, um, no I'm not allergic to anything."

I stood there wracking my brain for a while. It's not like I cooked for myself often, so I chose to just make something that I had seen my mom make hundreds of times. I started grabbing ingredients out of the refrigerator to make us some tuna and ham gimbap. Since we were both from Busan, I figured he would enjoy a traditional dish from our region.

While I was preparing our dinner, I noticed Jungkook laughing while he watched a video on YouTube. My mouth instantly turned into a grin at the sight before I forced myself to concentrate on chopping. I returned to the living room 30 minutes later with four logs for us to share on a medium-sized platter.

"Woah," he gasped as he locked his phone and set it aside. "You made gimbap?!"

"Well tried is a better word. I tried to make gimbap, but um...it's really hard to cut," I replied with a bitter smile, looking down at the jagged slices.

"Hey, it looks better than when I try to cut it! This is amazing..." I blushed slightly at the praise as I gave him a shy smile.

"I-um...I hope you like it. I'm not really good at cooking so...I figured this would be the easiest thing to make," I mumbled self-consciously as I swept my hair back. I held my breath as he picked up a slice with his chopsticks and put the whole thing in his mouth. His cheeks puffed out since his mouth was filled with the large bite. "Yah! Don't put so much in at once!" I scolded with a laugh. His eyes widened as he began chewing faster.

"Oh...my...gosh!" he squealed in between chews. "This is the best tasting gimbap I've ever had!" I covered my mouth with my hand to hide the wide grin on my face.

"T-thanks..." I mumbled as I took a seat adjacent to him on the sofa.

We enjoyed the gimbap together as Jungkook talked about random things. As he was talking I picked up another piece of gimbap and took a large bite out of it, my eyes closing contently as I chewed the rather huge piece. I opened my eyes back up when I noticed that Jungkook had stopped talking and they instantly widened when I saw him watching me eat with a small smile.

"W-why are you looking at me like that?" I asked feeling a bit flustered. My informant blinked a couple of times as he shook his head lightly.

"Huh?"

"You were staring..."

"Was not!" Jungkook exclaimed defiantly, the tips of his ears reddening slightly.
