Jungkook POV
I was in the middle of heading out the door of my small apartment, when I heard my phone ring. I smiled as I saw the name on the screen.
"Hey baby," I answered as I maneuvered the phone to wedge it between my ear and shoulder, using my hands to close and lock my door behind me.
"Good morning, babe," Jimin greeted on the other end, his cute giggle reminding me how flustered he gets when we call each other by our pet names.
"Good morning. So how did you sleep?" I asked as I bit my lip with a huge smirk. We went out to dinner last night as a small celebration for our one month anniversary and I had gone back to his condo for a 'night cap' before going home.
"Very funny you brat," he chuckled as I heard him shuffling papers around in the background. "But actually, I had to go out last night after you left and work on this new case..." my boyfriend sighed.
"Oh. So you didn't get any sleep at all?" I asked worriedly.
"Unfortunately no. I had to do a stakeout over at one of the nightclubs downtown," he shared, stifling a yawn as he spoke. "I just got back home so I can go shower and take a quick power nap before I head into the station. But I thought I would call to say good morning before you left for work..."
"Well thank you for calling. I love hearing your voice first thing in the morning," I confessed as I jumped into my car with a grin. "Now hurry up and shower so you can get some sleep!"
"I will..."
"And make sure you eat something," I urged.
"If I have time. I'm exhausted and I have to be in by 11:30 this morning for an important debrief," Jimin explained as he yawned once more.
"Alright we'll I'll let you go then. I'll talk to you later sleepy head," I cooed as I pictured his adorable face.
"Okay, have a good day at work, Kookie."
"Thanks, I'll try... Love you."
"I love you too."
"Bye."
"Bye."
I shook my head as I locked my phone and strapped on my seatbelt. Jimin had only been back in the field for 8 days and he was already pulling all-nighters. I just hoped that he wasn't pushing himself too much too fast. The last thing I wanted was for him to get placed back on desk duty for another week. He had been completely miserable right after his surgery, so I wanted to make sure he wasn't overdoing it. Maybe I'll be able to sneak away after my first appointment this morning and surprise him with food from his favorite breakfast place.

Jimin POV
I awoke from my alarm with a groan, still feeling the effects of the stakeout as I reached out and silenced my clock. Thankfully I had managed to get a couple hours of sleep, but I knew that I would definitely be drained by the end of the day. A small smile made its way onto my face as I caught a whiff of Jungkook from the pillow next to me. I rolled over to the other side of my bed contently as I snuggled with the white pillow case. We had cuddled briefly after we made love last night, the explicit images flooding my mind as his calming scent filled my nostrils.
