What am I going to do now?
Jungkook POV
My heart raced in my chest as I struggled to think clearly, criticizing myself yet again about earlier. If I had gone with him I would've been able to warn him or at least protect him. I yelled in frustration, but I knew I needed to think of a way to help him.
My eyes closed tightly as I pushed myself to figure out what I needed to do, snapping my fingers when I got an idea. Thankfully his phone was unlocked so I could access his contacts easily. My thumb scrolled through until I found the name I was looking for, crossing my fingers that they would pick up.
Tae: "Hey Jiminie hyung!"
JK: "No, actually it's Jungkook."
Tae: "O-oh...um, hi. Why are you calling me on Jiminie hyung's phone?"
JK: "He accidently left it. B-but look, I need your help!"
Tae: "Um, okayyyyy?"
JK: "Jimin hyung is in trouble. One of my contacts told me that the Freedom Fighters were going to make him pay for messing up their drug exchange."
Tae: "WHAT?! How did you-"
JK: "Look I don't have time to explain right now! You're just gonna have to trust me on this...
Tae: "Alright, fine! Just tell me what to do."
JK: "You need to send a squad over to the hospice center his mom is staying. Please hyung you have to hurry, he already left like five minutes ago. I-I... W-what if they kill him?!"
Tae: "Okay, okay don't worry, I don't plan on it! I'll go inform the Captain right now so we can send a team over there ASAP."
JK: "Wait I-"
Tae: "I know...you want to come too, right? Don't worry, I'll swing by and get you."
JK: "Thanks..."
Tae: "You can thank me after we save Jimin hyung. Got it?"
JK: "Got it..."
Tae: Alright I gotta go now. I'll be there in fifteen minutes, tops!"
JK: "Okay, bye."
Tae: "Bye."
Time Skip (1o minutes)
Jimin POV
I finally reached the hospice center and I wasted no time in pulling into the visitor parking lot before taking a moment to calm my breathing. The whole car ride I had been anxious and upset about my mother's heart attack, the nearly 15 minute long ride flying by in a blur.
I had visited her just this past weekend and she seemed to be doing much better, so I was completely shocked when I got the call back at my condo. As I sat there, I also thought about how I left things with Jungkook... how I had snapped at him. Looking back at the situation, I know that he was just concerned about my safety and was trying to help. I felt my heart sink as I remembered the look on his face when I had walked out the door.
I bit my lip and reached into my pocket for my cell phone to send him a quick text, but I cursed under my breath when I realized I had left it on my couch. And since visitors weren't permitted to use the front desk phone, I would have to wait until I got back to let him know I was okay and to apologize. I took a glance in the rear-view mirror and rubbed the tear stains off my face before heading into the grey building.
