"y/n look at this!" Daphne yells holding what appears to be an animal skull.

"Ew, Daph put that down." I say.

"Calm down. Are you really that shaken up about Diggory?" Pansy asks, holding up a beaded coin purse.

"Yeah. He's never spoken to me like that before."

"Well, you haven't known each other long enough to fight or anything." Daphne walks over to the cashier.

"It didn't feel like a fight. He just was mad and left before I could even defend myself."

"I think you should dump him." Pansy says and leans against the counter.

"We're not together or anything though. Plus it would crush me to see him with anyone else."

"That's pathetic." Pansy rolls her eyes.

"Excuse me?" I say defensive.

"All you two have is physical attraction. You have fun together but your relationship is nothing profound." Pansy stares at me.

"What do you know about profound relationships? It's not like you and Draco are madly in love. Or wait was it you and Blaise? Or what about Adrian?" I say sharply.

"Don't talk about things you know nothing about y/n." Pansy tightens her jaw.

"Can you guys stop bickering? Let's go get butter beer or something." Daphne wraps her arms around us and we walk out out of the shop, still glaring at each other.

The Slytherin team is going up against Hufflepuff today. I'm standing with my team waiting for people to come into the stands.

"You remember the rules right." Flint looks down on me.

"Yeah. Of course I do." I say nervously.

Earlier that day

"Thank you for seeing me Ms.y/l/n." I nod and sit across from Snape.

"I would like to give you the position of chaser. Warrington has been particularly disappointing at practice, so Mr.Flint and I have decided that it's best for the team if you switch spots."

"I'v never played that position before. Today is the game and I don't think I'm ready for that." I look down.

"There is no doubt in my mind you won't figure it out. Talk to Mr. Zabini after you leave and I'm sure he will answer any questions you have." He says.

"Why did you choose me?" I ask, fiddling with my bracelet.

"Well, I remember how great your mom was at quidditch. She was the first girl to be on the Slytherin quidditch team." My jaw dropped.

"She never talked about playing quidditch. She always said how much she despised everything here. No offense." He opened one if his desk drawers and pulled out an old picture of the Slytherin quidditch team.

"She loved quidditch. It was really the only thing she succeeded here at Hogwarts."

"Wow. I had no idea." I handed the photo back.

"So, I have faith you will help bring Slytherin to victory."

"I'll try."

The Game

I flew into the air as cheers filled the stands. Lee Jordans voice amplified through the field. Cedric has been staring at me all morning and esspessially now I can feel his eyes burning on me.

I pull my ponytail tighter and focus on what Blaise taught me. The rain is soaking my uniform and clouding my goggles. In that moment the game starts.

The quaffles fly into the air and I swoop down and catch one. Blaise does the same and smiles at me. I hold my quaffle tightly and focus on the goal. I stare down Ethan Humberstone and try to throw the quaffle through.

Ethan attempts to block it with his helmet and misses, making me score. Cheers, and boo's fill the stands. I look for Ron or Hermione but instead I see no other than Leo Birkshire, holding a big yellow sign with,

Go y/n! Slytherins favorite whore!

Rage and shock filled my lungs. Zach plows into me, making my broom tip upside down. Gasps fill the stands. My hands start to slip on the wet broom but I manage to pull myself back up. I wipe the rain off of my goggles and follow Zach. I slam into his broom and the quaffle slips from his gloves landing in my hands. I once again score.

"Ten more points for Slytherin!" Lee announces. Suddenly hollers come from the stands. I look up and see Cedric being attacked by a dementor.

I look around and everyone is staring in awe, doing nothing. I fly up to him and wrap my arms around his waist, pulling him back from the dementor. I finally pull him away completely and Cedric gasps, heaving for air. I start to slip off my broom. Cedric and I both fall. Dumbledore yells something from the stands and everything goes black.
