Cedric's POV-
Lupin takes us through a long corridor and eventually to his class room. I look over at y/n, her face stern and her hair a mess. I swallow nervously as he walks to the front of the room and sighs.
"Now, I don't have the faintest idea how this map came to be in your possession. Quite frankly, I am astounded that you didn't hand it in. Did it ever occur to you what would happen if this map got in Sirius Black's hands?"
"No, Proffesor." Y/n says and he softens his expression.
"Your father never stood by the rules much either." Her face drops.
"You knew him?" She steps closer.
"He was a couple years older than me but yes." She nods and starts playing with her hands.
"None the less, wandering around the castle with a killer on the loose is very irresponsible and I will not be covering for either of you two again."
"Yes, Professor." We say in unison.
"Now, both of you go back to your dorms. And no detours, cause if you do, I will know." He taps the map and we start to leave the classroom.
"Professor, I don't think the map always works." I say and y/n gives me a wide eyed look.
"What do you mean?" Lupin asks.
"Earlier on, it showed someone in castle. Someone I presumed to be..." I trail off.
"Dead. It was Peter Pettigrew." Y/n says.
"That's not possible." Lupin furrows his brows.
"Just what we saw, Proffesor." Y/n says and we leave the class room.
"That was horrible. Why would you tell him that!" She playfully punches my arm and I laugh.
"I don't know! He has one of those faces you can say anything to." I explain and she smiles up at me.
"You know, tonight was actually pretty great." I say, smoothing down the top of my hair.
"Yeah, it sure was an adventure." She says, fiddling with the clasp on her earring.
"Sadly, Snape is still going to write my father." I say, a nervousness rushing over me.
"I don't know. He doesn't have any proof that we weren't just checking on some noisy fifth years." I nod.
"What do you think would happen if he wrote to Molly and Arthur?" I ask and she bites the side of her cheek.
"I don't know. They don't agree with what your dad said, but they aren't going to jump up and down at the fact we disobeyed him. I mean, Molly kind of encouraged it but I never know." She says and laughs.
"Yeah, that makes sense." I don't want to put her in any trouble. I almost killed my dad for yelling at her like that. I regret being too much of a bloody coward and not doing so. Or, at least saying something.
"So, this is me." She says once we reach the door to the Slytherin common room.
"Ok, I'll try to talk to you tomorrow." I say, not wanting the night to end.
"You should meet me in storage room 213 after class tomorrow." She says and I smile.
"Will do." It's silent for a moment until we kiss, just one more time. Long and slow. We pull apart and she says the password.
"Bye, Ced." She smirks and the stone door closes behind her.
Y/n's POV-
I walk into the pitch black common room and sigh.
