"Happy Graduation!" Bungad samin ni Suji. As usual nakangisi nanaman. Sr. Vertefeuille and Alan is standing behind her so as out parents. Si Suji na ang nag ma-manage ng buong school. High school is truly the best years of our life. Throughout those years, we learned and grow to be a better version of our selves. We weren't complete but were still contented. We have each other although Aki's far away.
"If only, Aki was here" Sabi ni Adi habang nakayakap kay Tristan na kaagad namang inirapan ni Trix at Iris "Could you please stop acting like Aki's dead, she's just in Japan for Pete's sake"
"Let's just call her" suhestiyon ni Zev. "Good Idea" I called Aki and she Immediately answered. Seems like she's not busy "Hi Aki!" Sabay sabay naming sabi. Hindi sya sumagot na parang may hinahanap. I forgot, Khashton's not here.
"Your lover boy is not here, he's busy flirting with the cheerleader, he's on varsity kasi" nag si tanguan naman naman naman kaming mga babae kasama si Zex habang sila Luca, Tristan at Zev ay masama ang tingin samin "Bakla si Luca" Mahina akong natawa "I know" sagot ko kahit alam kong ikakapahamak yun ng buhay ko.
"Oops" sabay nilang sabi kaya napatingin ako kay Luca na ang sama ng tingin sakin. Nginitian ko lang sya saka ibabalik na sana ang tingin sa cellphone ko ng may umagaw nito "Kon'nichiwa ai, ogenkidesuka? Anata ga inakute sabishīdesu" Hi love, how are you? I miss you.
"Hoy bastos ka Khashton!" Inis na sigaw ko sakanya ngunit hindi manlajg ako pinansin "Hayaan mo na, isang tao nayang hindi nagkikita" tila kinikilig na sabi ni Trix "Hays sabagay" kinuha ko ang isa ko pang cellphone at chineck ang oras "Mauna na tayo sa bahay" aya samin ni Sr. Vertefeuille. Natawa lang ako sa masama nyang titig. Sandali ko syang hinalikan habang sapo-sapo ang mukha nya "Wǒ ài nǐ"
"Ti amo" I smiled at him. There's no need for a translation. It only means one thing.

"So what are your plans in college?" Dad asked me. We are currently having a celebration dinner at Aki's house. "Got a lot of letters from well known schools but I'd rather go to Cambridge" I said without lookung at them. I never said anything about my decision kaya alam kong nabigla ko sila.
"Y-your going away?" Putol ni Zex sa katahimikan. He can't talk clearly, I can also see him holding back his tears. He may be smiling always but he's the most sensitive in our group "Technically, yes"
"How long will you be there" He tried so hard not to stutter. Nag alangan pa akong mag salita "3 years? 4 or 5?" He's voice became colder every second, and it scares me. "You could've told me, or us" He let out a fake laugh saka tumayo at lumabas.
"Why didn't you tell us Trix?" Adi said.
"I-I—" Hindi ko na natuloy ang sasabihin ko ng kusang nag lumakad ang paa ko at sundan si Zex.
"Our daughter's growing up" I heard mom said to dad before I walked out of the room "Zex!" I kept looking but I can't seem to find him. "Zex!" I shouted again.
"I'm here" His voice sent shivers through my spine. It was cold, so cold "I'm sorry" I tried to hold back my tears but I couldn't. We weren't involved in a romantic way. We are just friends who are afraid to loose each other. I did have a crush on him but lumipas rin yun. My feelings for him right now is nothing more than friendship "Shhh, dont cry. I'm sorry I acted that way. I will miss you"
"Heather will take care of you when I'm gone. She loves you. I'll come back naman eh" Heather is his girlfriend. They've been together for a year now. Nagpatulong panga syang ligawan si Heather. To be honest, I was hurt at first but when time passes, I learned to accept that there are things that should remain the way it was. "Your my partner in crime for two years Trix. I can't loose you"
"You will never loose me Zex. I will always be your partner in crime." Ginulo ko ang buhok nya "Nasaan nga pala si Heather? Hindi ba sya sumama sayo ngayon?"
"She said she has something to attend. Her parents just arrived. I'm sure she'll meet them" Napatango lang ako "Let's go back Zex, pumapayat kana. Kumain kanaman" Tumawa lang sya at tumango.

"Na ready mo naba lahat?" Sabi sakin ni Dad. Tumango lang ako at niyakap sya. Two months of preparation and I'm finally going to Cambridge for my doctorate course. "I'm gonna miss you" He said and brushed my hair. My papa is the one to take care of me because mama is the one who does the work. Papa us also busy taking care of some haciendas but he always make time for me "I'll miss you too papa, kayo ni mama"
"I can't believe it, parang kahapon lang ay karga-karga kapa ng mama mo" He kissed my cheeks bago kami lumabas ng bahay. Pag pasok namin sa airport ay bumungad samin ang walo kong kaibigan kasama si Heather. "What are you guys doing here?" Tanong ko
"Duh, syempre ihahatid namin ang future doctor namin" sabi ni Adi at yumakap sakin. "Group hug!" Sigaw ni Brie kaya nag si sunuruan naman sila maliban kay Zex na alam kong pinipigilang umiyak. Natawa lang ako at lumapit sakanya matapos ang yakapan namin "Umayos kanga, mukha kang bakla sa harap ng gf mo" sumimangot sya at yumakap sakin habang si Heather naman ay nakangiti lang at nag kinunan kami ng picture.
"Ate, are you going naba talaga?" She said is she always this cute? "I'm sorry Heather, but yeah" suminghot sya at yumakap sakin habang naiiyak kaya naki gaya rin si Zex "Para kayong bata, take care of yourselves" tinignan nila ako na parang tutang umiiyak 'bagay talaga sila'.
"DON'T GO!" sabay rin nilang sabi kaya natawa nalang ako "Pigilan nyo nga tong dalawang to. Ma le-late na talaga ako "Let go!" Inis na sabi ni Heather ng hawakan sya ni Tristan "Hoy bitiw!"
"Goodbye" I waved and smile at them for the last time.
