Chapter 30: The Only Reason

Calum's POV:

Of course, he would recognize me. My past is slowly catching up to me. He was looking me dead in the eye, but I was fearless. "Yes, it's me. I'm here. You have something that belongs to me."

Justin chuckled darkly before speaking, "I have to say I didn't think you'd show up. Haven't seen you since you murdered my uncle you bastard. You had quite the reputation for using people. You were the whore of your clan."

Luke's POV:

I couldn't contain the gasp that escaped my mouth. Calum had killed someone. He would use people as bloodbanks. But he wouldn't do that to me would he? I was already his. Even if he did only want me for that reason, I'd give him all of me just to have his love. And that's when it hit me. I've fallen for him hard.

I'm not one to believe in love at first sight, or true love. However, this felt different. When I first saw Calum, I couldn't even look at him without blushing. He defended me even though I'm the the nerd of the school. He saved my life. I've never had anyone do that for me before besides Ashton. Calum's different though. Not just because he's a vampire, but because i feel a connection. Yes, he hurt me. Hell, he kissed another guy right in front of me. But what can I say? The heart wants what it wants.

Calum's POV:

"Had I not killed him, I would be dead today. They attacked me right when I was turned. I was not a whore. That was a dark time for me. I'd use them for blood, and that was it. I never slept with any of them. Except for Victor, but he broke my heart.  You shouldn't talk about things you know nothing about." I said, eyes watering.

"What's so different about this one hmm?" He asked simply. I thought about it. Luke was different. He was just amazing. I couldn't describe the way he made me feel. It was as if I was alive again when I'm around him. His smile, his giggle and those eyes of his. He's a total dork, and I love him. I'm not afraid to say it out loud. "He's different because I love him. I'd give up my life just to see him smile. He means everything to me. Without him, I-I don't know what I'd do....."

Justin scoffs before saying, "He's just another blonde, blue-eyed slut to feed off of and kill." That was the last straw. My eyes turned red, and I charged towards him tackling him to the ground. I didn't know what I was doing, but if I die tonight Luke is worth it.

Ashton's POV:

Calum loves him. I see it. Hell, anyone can. It's not hard to. Michael was holding my hand, grasping it tightly. He was nervous, but we could do this together. As we watched Calum fight with the leader, we went for the others.

Michael and I were amateurs. We had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into, or if we would leave alive. We were determined to find Luke. While Calum was fighting with the main vampire, we took down the others.

Suddenly, Calum was thrown at the wall, and the leader disappeared. When he reappeared, he had Luke in his grasp. He had a hand around his throat.  Luke was not moving, and that's when i began to worry. I'm guessing Calum sensed Luke's presence because he got up right away.

Luke's POV:

I cried out in pain as the man pulled me by my hair up to the loft. To my surprise, Ashton, Calum, and Michael were all here. I felt a hand around my neck, and I felt a pain in my chest.

I couldn't breathe, my world was starting to go black. I tried my best to speak, but I couldn't. The last words that left my mouth before everything turned dark were, "I love you, Calum....."

GUYS OMFG THIS STORY IS GETTING REALLY CLOSE TO THE END!!! *dun dun dun* Its crazy because I remember when I posted the first chapter thinking noones going to read this. Its horrible. But you guys have read, commented, and voted on every single chapter!!!! Thank you all so so much because without you guys or viewers this story wouldn't have continued.
