"Think Y/N think" you say to yourself. "It can't be that difficult. It's a jack of diamonds card game!" You stare at the lock of the box in front of you while your ears listen for any sounds. "Stay calm, don't get stressed. Breath in, breath out."

Suddenly you hear footsteps across the hall. You look at the door, get up and run to the closet in the room. You step in and close the door in front of you.

After a few seconds you hear that the person is standing still. You hear three knocks on the door of your room. *knock knock knock* You try to hold you breath to make as little noise a possible.

Slowly you hear the door open. Through a small slot in the closet door you can see some of the LED light from hallway shining into the room. A figure walks in and starts walking towards the closet.

The closer the figure gets the harder you push yourself against de back of de closet.

The figure stops right in front of you. Again he knocks on the door of the closet to the exact same beat as he did the first time *knock knock knock*

You close your eyes and you feel that your lungs need new fresh air. The pressure to breath gets bigger and bigger.

Slowly you hear the closet door crack and through your eyelids you can see the LED light is starting to shine in your face.

You hear a soft chuckle from a familiar voice. "What are you doing here, shouldn't you solve the puzzle?"

You open one of your eyes and you see Chishiya standing in front of you. You exhale relieved.

Chishiya helps you out of the closet and you hiss "I should ask you the same question."

Chishiya lifts up one of his eyebrows and answers: "I wanted to look around a bit first to be honest. We still have 15 minutes."

You cross your arms. "I think you should stop wasting your time and get out of here alive."

Chishiya nods "You play the game your way, I play mine. We'll see each other outside."

You sigh and Chishiya turns around and walks out the door.

"Wait!" you run after Chishiya who stopped and turned towards you. "Hm?"

"Have you seen anything useful?" For example what kind weapon the killer uses or what the killer looks like?" Chishiya shakes his head. "Nothing besides dead bodies frankly. I did hear some gunshots but I can't tell what kind of gun it is."

You hum and Chishiya continues to talk. "The most important thing is that we get out of here so go and solve your puzzle. There is nothing you can do about the killer."

FYI: A quick explanation of this game to clear everything up. The game consists of 24 players and 1 of those players is the killer. None but killer him/her/themself knows who the killer is.

All players are placed in a room with a box. The box is closed with a lock. To open the lock you have to solve a puzzle. Each player has a different puzzle to solve. You have three chances to enter the correct number combination. If you mess up three times, it is GAME OVER for you.

If you solve the puzzle you can open the box and take the pass that is in the box. With this pass you can go to the front gate of the building and open it with this pass. If the gate opens, one person can leave the building through the gate and this person is safe/free. You can use a pass one time. If more people go trough the gate, they will be killed by the lazer.

Meanwhile, the doors are open and the players can run around the building to get away from the killer. The killer has a minimal amount of people that he or she has to kill. When the killer reaches that amount, he or she will also receive a pass and is free to go.

The game lasts 20 minutes and takes place in the same building where Arisu played the game "tag" in episode 2.

Chishiya turns around and continues to walk and disappears in the elevator to the next floor.

You run back to your puzzle and start staring again at the sheet in front of you and at the lock. The sheet is full of rows of numbers in small frames.

Behind you you hear shots through the open door and the screams of a woman and you think a child. The shivers run down your spine.

You press your hands to your ears and keep looking at the number sheet.

Your phone starts to beep. "Ten minutes left. Remaining players: 11"

"Shut up you stupid thing" you throw the phone across the room against the wall.

That was the first chapter of my story. It's maybe a bit boring and I'm really sorry if it is. It will get better soon! I hope you enjoyed, let me know what you think! Chapter 2 will be up soon :) - Iris
