"Plus, you and I have a lot to talk about."

After a quiet walk of 10 minutes you arrive at the apartment. Chishiya has never let go of your wrist and even when the two of you walked inside, he pulls you onto the balcony.

He then lets go and leans with his arms on the railing of the balcony, staring at the moon.

The silence continues, but that's certainly not the case for your brain. Ever since you left the cinema your head has been thinking and thinking, looking for a good excuse for that damn polaroid: 'Why did you have to take that thing with you? And why is out of the three other people in this house, he is the one that has to find it? I should have found a better place to hide it. Why-'

"Are you gonna talk or what." Chishiya says out of the blue, disrupting the silence and your thought process.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." you answer while you sit down on one of the lawn chairs.

"Don't act dumb." He says with a slight irritation in his voice, still not taking his eyes from the moon.

"I really don't know, and I think that you are being overly dramatic." you reply, trying to postpone the confrontation as long as you can.

Chishiya sighs, turns to you and digs into his pockets. "Disappointing. Maybe this will help you refresh your demented memory?" he takes the polaroid out of his pocket smoothly and puts it in between two fingers.

"I'd like to know why someone has a photo of me underneath their pillow."

You stand up from your chair as you fold your arms together. "I'd like to know why someone would look underneath my pillow, that's also weird and kind of creepy to be honest."

"Answer my question." you can hear from his tone that Chishiya is getting really annoyed. Is it really that big of a deal?

You sigh and you stand next to him looking out over the city. "You're gonna judge me for it." you say quietly as you feel ashamed of your action.

"Depends on the reason." Chishiya replies while he sits down on the other lawn chair.

"In these kind of situations normal people would say "I would never judge you", you know?"  you say while you chuckle.

"I'm just telling you how it is. If you come up with a stupid, illogical or weird reason, I will judge you. That's normal."

"Typical..." you say and you sit back down next to him.

You can feel Chishiya's gaze burning as you play with the zipper of your jacket. "Look to be honest, there are two reasons. One, and I don't know why, but the polaroid makes me feel comfortable. It kind of remembers me that there is a way out of this place. A memento of the old, normal world."

You see in the corner of your eye that Chishiya is holding the polaroid in front of his face while staring at it.

"And reason number two?" he says.

You sigh and mumble, almost unintelligible: "Because I'd like to meet that Chishiya someday." you look at the stars, too awkward to look him in the eyes.

You hear Chishiya sigh next to you as he flicks the polaroid your way. "Alright."

That's it? Alright? That's his response?!

"Don't you think it's crazy? you ask, confused by his response.

"Oh yes I do. I don't understand how you can get any feeling out of a piece of paper with ink. But if that's what keeps you going in this world, be my guest.

Chishiya gets up and walks towards the door that leads inside. "And to be honest, I only asked because I wanted to know if you'd come up with some stupid excuse, and because it's kind of funny to see you stressed out about something so small. I really didn't care"

You shake your head in disbelief. This man...

Chishiya opens the door and wants to step inside but you stop him. "Now you have to answer my question sir."

Chishiya turns around and puts his hands in his pockets. "Sure."

"Why did you search through my bed? If you didn't, you would have never found this polaroid."

Chishiya shrugs and answers. "Have you ever heard of household chores? Your sheets stank from not changing them enough. And that day my job was cleaning, which includes changing sheets."

You facepalmed yourself mentally. How could you be so stupid.

You see Chishiya smirking. "You really need to come up with a better hide spot." You roll your eyes and turn to the starry sky.

"Thanks, as if I didn't realise that already..." You hear Chishiya go inside and then it turns dead quiet on the balcony.

You can feel the wind blowing across your face as you scan the city. You then take the polaroid and hold it, just like Chishiya did before, right in front of your face and you look at the boy on the photo.

Suddenly you hear laser noises from above. The red lasers can be seen in various places in the city, ready to be fired, which also happens right after a few seconds. You look at your watch and see that it's 00:00. A new day has started in this hell hole.

You hear the door behind you open and feel two arms wrap around you from behind. "Glad to see that you are alright."

You smile when you realise who it is and you put your hands on his. Ever since you and Arisu have developed such a close friendship, this is a standard thing he does. He wants to show his loved ones he cares. He loves hugs and come on, you just can't say no to such a sweetheart.

He lets go of you and stands next to you. "That game was the weirdest but most intense game ever. Since when is it possible to play two games in one. That's so unfair."

You shrug. "In this world, I kind of accept everything by now. There is nothing you can do about it."

Arisu nods and yawns. You smile and ruffle his hair. "Let's go to sleep, my body hurts everywhere."

Arisu nods and rubs his eyes. "Same here, hopefully we'll have enough time to rest and get rid of the soreness."

The both of you turn around and start walking towards the door until a loud horn is heard.

You turn around at the same time, looking around to see where the sound could come from. Usagi and Chishiya both ran out too.

Usagi points to the sky with wide eyes while several lights flash along the balcony. You now also hear the roaring sound of airplane engines. The four of you look up and see a large red zeppelin flying though the sky with 6 small planes circling around it.

It's a zeppelin that you also saw flying at the beginning of the second phase of the game. This zeppelin also has a card printed on the side: The king of Hearts.

"What the-"

Hello everyone! It's been 2 whole months since I last officially updated and I'm really really sorry. I couldn't find the motivation to write a new chapter until now. But my goal is to complete  this  whole story before 2022, so that I can start a new story next year 😊

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter (even though I know it wasn't that interesting but the next chapters will be really fun/exciting I promise!)

The end is coming and I hope that you all are excited!! And let me know what you think 😁

Love Iris ❤️
