The Last Game - Alice in Borderland x Reader

~ Ending 1 (The Good Ending) ~

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

It's the sounds of a heart rate monitor that you often hear in movies. Your head is pounding and your body feels heavy.

You try to open your eyes but the lights are way too bright. You groan and try to sit up straight.

Little by little your eyes begin to get used to the lights and you can finally see where you are: A snow-white hospital room. You are connected to different machines and IV's by plastic wires and you are wearing an ugly hospital dress.

You look around and see through the window that it is dark outside. Next to your bed is a wicker chair and a coffee table with a glass of water and an empty plate with some left over crumbs on it.

Suddenly the door opens and a black haired boy walks in while looking at his phone. At first you don't recognise him at all but as he got closer you are shocked.

"Chishiya?!" Chishiya looks up quickly and stares you in the eye in shock. He drops his phone and runs to your bed. "You're awake? YOU'RE AWAKE!"

He presses the red button next to your bed and puts his hand on your forehead while checking the stats on the heart rate monitor. The only thing you can focus on is his new hair and how good it looks on him.

Behind him two doctors run into the room and pull him away from you. They start checking different machines and the wires that are connected to you.

A woman, who is much older than the doctors, also walks in. She is much calmer that the other two. She stands next to Chishiya, puts her hand on his shoulder and whispers something in his ear. He nods, picks up his phone from the floor and leaves the room.

After a few seconds, the doctors also leave the room. The woman sits down in the wicker chair and smiles sweetly at you. "Hello dear, how are you feeling?" she asks.

"Uhm, I'm alright I guess. A little dizzy and sore but that's it." you answer while stretching your body.

The woman looks familiar to you, but you don't exactly know from where.

"I'm glad to hear that. May I ask, what do you remember from the time before you passed out?"

You nod and tell her the whole situation from being given the choice until you became unconscious. The woman listens carefully and gives you a sweet look.

"Okay, thank you for telling me. I'm glad you're feeling well." the woman stands up but you stop her by grabbing her wrist. She turns and looks at you with a questioning look. "What happened to me?" you ask, with fear in your voice.

The woman smiles and takes your hand in hers. "We also don't know what exactly happend and what kind of liquid was injected into your body, but the liquid has been pumped out of your body and your body responds well on the given medication. Don't worry, you will be fine."

You sigh and smile at the woman. "Thank you." The woman nods and says: "If there is anything that I can help you with, press this white button and I'll come to you." The woman smiles one last time and then it suddenly hits you.

She is woman is the woman from the photo from Chishiya's office. You recognise her smile, her eyes, her gray curled hair. But who is she to Chishiya? A friend? A family member?

She briefly straightens your blanket, walks to the door and turns around again. "One last question. It's visiting hour at the moment and based on your body status you are able to handle visitors. Would you like to see your friends?"
