The Last Game - Alice in Borderland x Reader

Hey!
So surprisingly people responded to my question! And they said that they wanted a Chishiya x Y/N ship. So I'm going to try to bring those two together :)

Again: I'm not extremely good at ships and stuff, but I'm going to try!! If you have tips or idea's let me know - Iris

"Right?!"

"Sh*t, I never thought about that stupid card" you think while looking at Arisu and Usagi, praying that they thought about it.

"Oh right, uhm where did I put it?" Usagi says, while she is feeling over her body and digging in her pockets.

"Ah, here you go." she says as she takes the jack of diamonds card out of her pink top.

Chishiya snatches the card from her hands and walks over to the box that contains all the collected cards. He takes all the cards out and spreads them on the table in the right order. "The king of hearts card is the only one left to find."

He looks up at us and says: "We are so close"

"Yes exactly so put all the cards back before we lose one." you say as you walk back to the bathroom to brush your teeth. Not that you have toothpaste, but you want to keep your mouth as clean as possible.

As you brush your teeth, you feel two fingers gently poking your sides. You look up and see Usagi who also starts to "brush" her teeth.

"What do you think Y/N, are we going to look for the king of hearts card tomorrow, or are we going to enjoy our visa days and wait for Kuina?" Usagi asks, looking at you through the mirror.

You spit in the sink and say: "I think we should rest for a few days. Plus the chance of us bouncing on a king of hearts game is extremely low. Our bodies need some rest and maybe we can collect some stuff that can help us through the rest of the game."

Usagi nods. "Agreed, Arisu and I had the same idea. But Chishiya doesn't..."

You look at her questioningly and she continues talking: "He wants us to play a game every night from now on. That way we will find the card faster."

"That's nonsense. I wouldn't be surprised if we get another situation like the hearts 10 card."

Usagi nods again and starts washing her face and says: "Anyways, I'm going to sleep, are you coming?"

"Yeah, wait let me wash my face as well." You take some water from the water tub and you rub your face clean.

As you walk past the living room you see that Arisu has already drifted of to sleep with his back facing you. Chishiya is laying on his stomach, while he is staring at his hands.

"Goodnight" you say and you get a hum in response from Chishiya who puts his head on his pillow.

You lay down on your mattress and you pull your blanket over your body. You close your eyes and try to sleep while listening to Usagi's breathing as it becomes more regular.

But it doesn't work. Your thoughts keep going back to the old man and the game. Knowing that Chishiya killed other people so that the four of you would make it out alive causes a uneasy feeling in your stomach.

If you knew he was the killer, would you have played the game differently?

You think back to when Chishiya was in your room. He could have killed you easily while you were in the closet.

But he didn't. Instead, he helped you out and urged you to solve your puzzel.

You get a flashback of his words: "You play the game your way, I play mine." So that's what he meant...

And where could Kuina be? Would she walk through the city all by herself? Why would she do that? Did we drive her crazy or something? Or did something happen on the way back?

Slowly you hear the screams of the killed people again in your head. "Stop, stop, stop" you whisper to yourself.

"Breath in, breath out" your mother taught you that once. "If it feels like it's all getting too much, keep a close eye on your breathing. Try to control your breath and breathe at a slow pace."

"Breath in, breath out, in, out..."

You feel the pressure on your chest decrease and you start to relax a bit. "I need some water." you mutter to yourself when you get up and walk to the kitchen. You fill a glass with some of the filtered rainwater and take a sip while staring out of the window.

"What are you doing in the kitchen at this time at night." you hear right behind you. You are startled as you see Chishiya's face appear next to you in the window, which is lit by the moonlight that shines into the kitchen.

You turn around, put your glass down and smile at Chishiya who starts to lean on the counter with his left arm. "I was thirsty and wanted some water."

He hums and says: "Well in that case, you are an extremely loud sleeper. I could hear your breathing in the living room. Please keep it down, people are trying to sleep."

Sh*t, was I really breathing that loud?

"Not that I can control it tho, but I'll try."

He takes your glass, takes a sip of the water and presses the glass into your hands.

"I still can't get used to the rainwater taste, it tastes kind of gross." He says while staring at the glass with a disgusted expression.

You drink the last bit of the water and you put the glass into the sink. You can feel Chishiya's hand tap your shoulder twice as he whispers a "Goodnight" and walks out of the kitchen.

You look at the moon one more time and then walk back to the bedroom. On your way you see Chishiya laying in his bed peacefully.

"How can someone be so calm after killing 15+ people, I don't understand..."
