"How do I look?" Violet asked Elena and their friend Mary who was sitting on her bed as she did her make-up in front of her mirror. Violet was wearing She was wearing a simple light blue dress with bishop sleeves and there were ties at the bottom if she wanted to make it shorter or longer but Violet chose to keep it to midthigh like it was supposed to not wanting to show too much skin still not comfortable with her body.
"You look amazing," Mary said clapping her hands feeling proud of herself since she chose the dress and the shade of eyeshadow. Violet decided to wear matching light blue heels with some pearls at the front. Many people wouldn't have chosen that dress since it was not in fashion but Violet was never one to follow fashion and followed her gut more.
"You look beautiful, you will make him fall for you in no time," Elena said rolling her eyes at Mary who flipped her blonde hair jokingly. Elena flipped her black hair in return before the two girls laughed.
"How many times do I have to tell you that this is not a date date, we're just getting to know each other" Violet said rolling her eyes at them and picked up her silver clutch in between her shaking fingers placing her pink phone in it before leaving her room with them following behind her.
"We know but you never know what happens," Mary said following behind Violet down the stairs slipping and almost falling if Elena didn't catch her and pull her back up straight. Violet turned to face them at the bottom of the stairs with a glare on her face but before she could even say anything the doorbell rang.
"The door saved you two," She said turning around and walking over to it, and pulling it open. The two girls almost tumbled down the stairs trying to get a good look at the handsome prince up front, they got first seats when he walked in with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
"I wish to speak with Mister Davies first if you don't mind," He said as Violet smelled the flowers with a huge grin on her face. She ushered him up the stairs slamming the flowers in the girls' faces as she heard the whisper and giggle making them groan and rub their faces each holding a part of the flowers.
"Put them in water, will you?" She asked glaring at them, they nodded scared of her, and ran with the bouquet to the kitchen. Violet showed Nicholas her father's office who was a little busy signing some paper for his new fashion show in a few weeks. When he looked up he seemed shocked to see the Prince of Wales in his office seeming nervous as his daughter closed the door behind them.
"I apologize for disturbing you sir," Nicholas said walking in further and stopping in front of the desk. Peter Davies stood up taking a good look at the famous young Prince in front of him which made Nicholas nervous and he could feel sweat forming on his forehead.
"Nonsense, you are always welcome, your highness," Peter said taking the Prince's outstretched hand and shaking it lightly. Violet felt happy knowing that Nicholas was taking this serious and wasn't just doing it for the sake of the Queen his grandmother.
