Violet-Chapter-Thirty-Five

"What else do you need?" Violet asked, holding up the clipboard in her hand. Elena adjusted Ben in her arms as she breastfed him. Stress was all over her face and it was no shock really, the wedding was exactly a month from today and Ben has been sick lately.

"Dress is done, decorations are done and the cake too so I just need to find a bridal party" Elena groaned rubbing her face. She moved Ben away when he was done and fixed her shirt before she began burping him.

"Didn't you say you want Mary, Pansy, Georgina, Linnea, and me?" Violet asked turning the clipboard to show the list to Elena. Elena's mouth formed an O, she was no longer pregnant so why did she have a pregnancy brain?

"Right and Indigo is going to have Nicholas, Edgar, Simon, George, and William as his groomsmen" Elena slapped her forehead. Violet chuckled as Ben let out a cute little burp. Elena flinched expecting him to throw up but it passed by without any disasters.

"Best Man?" Violet asked turning the clipboard again to face her and clicking the pen open so she could write.

"Edgar" Elena answered, moving Ben from her shoulder. She stood up and moved to the changing station they had in the nursery. Indigo went beyond Violet's imagination and the nursery was missing nothing when Ben was brought here, the nursery alone cost around one million pounds which Violet thinks is an exaggeration because Ben will soon grow out of his ten thousand pounds crib and move to a bed.

"Edgar Hall? As in Emilia and Jessy's brother? The girls who bullied us?" Violet asked shocked. She never imagined that her brother would choose Edgar as his best man, yes Edgar was a nice guy and has been best friends with Indigo since they were in diapers, but she never imagined he'd be the best man. She thought he would be choosing Simon Davies, their only male cousin from their father's side.

"Yup, I mean Edgar is a nice guy but since he's the best man Emilia and Jessy will also be invited to the wedding" Elena rolled her eyes. She scrunched her nose as she threw the dirty diaper into the bin beside the changing table. She fastened the new diaper on before buttoning the onesie and pulling up Ben's trousers. She immediately wrapped him in a blanket so he would not get a cold during this harsh weather.

"So the groomsmen will be Nicholas, Simon Davies, our cousin, George Cox, aunt Leah's son, and William Gray, aunt Nina's son, this way we have one child from each aunt," Violet wrote the roles beside each name. Elena slumped back down on the cream-colored couch while swaying Ben in her arms so he would go to sleep.

"Know what, how about you give this little troublemaker to me and you can go get some rest" Violet placed the clipboard on top of a vanity table beside the small wardrobe. Elena's eyes lit up at the mention of rest. Violet took Ben from Elena who looked ready to pass out.

"I'll put him to sleep and call that idiot of a brother of mine before leaving, you go sleep" Violet felt obligated to help Elena who helped her a lot whenever she needed it. Elena stood up from the couch and pulled Violet in for a hug with teary eyes. Elena has been having mental breakdowns from how stressed she's been which is why Indigo begged Violet to come help with the wedding preparations, not like he needed to because the second he mentioned the break downs Violet was already in her car.

"Thank you" Elena whispered. She left the room with her shoulders dropped. Violet turned to Ben who barely had his eyes open with a full belly and a clean diaper. He was in baby heaven. Ben let out a small yawn before nuzzling into Violet's shoulder, whimpering a little since he was not smelling his mother. Violet picked up Elena's old shirt that was thrown on the couch and placed it on her shoulder under Ben's head. The baby settled again smelling his mother's scent.
