Part 7

You fall down the trapdoor, elegantly placing your feet on the ground as your hair flew with the air. You look up to see..

The others? But weren't you supposed to go find them in the tower? Oh well. So all the doors led to the same room, it must've been a coincidence that it happened to be the five if you.

You then noticed a sign next to a little white pillar, so you decided to read it. There were six stopwatches on the pillar, maybe for people who fell down here.

"The six of you must follow the will of majority to reach the goal."

Well, that's a pain. We have five people. Not six.
You picked up one of the stopwatches, and noticed that there was both an X and an O button on them.

"Does that mean we are unable to leave this room until another person drops in?" Kurapika asked, but you were just as confused. I guess it only made sense though, guess you had to wait awhile until someone else came. Suddenly, a speaker located next to the roof turned on which startled you a bit.

"That is right! My name is Lippo. I am the prison warden here, as well as the third phase examiner."

Prison warden-?

"Multiple routes through this tower have been prepared. You have chosen the path of majority rule. Cooperation will be key if you wish to clear this phase of the exam."

Ah, I get it now. But we can't guarantee the next person who falls's behavior, they could be selfish and try to lead us down. Oh well, I doubt it. A lot of people I've met were nice to me so far, so hopefully one of them fell down. Guess we can't start until another person falls down..

You went and sat down with Kurapika, talking to each other to pass by time. You then felt the contact in your eye start to bother you, damn. This is bad. It was probably starting to dry up and you needed to get it wet to put it back in your eye, but there was no water anywhere. If they found out about your different colored eyes, this was going to be the end of you. Shit, what do I do?!

"K-Kurapika, do you have any water? I'm sorry to ask, but it's quite important.." he seemed confused, but opened up his book bag and handed you a water bottle.

"Here you go. Is there something wrong?" He asked.
"Nono! Everything is fine, please excuse me for a moment." You went to the corner of the room, making sure no one saw your face. You pulled out the contact and gently poured a little bit of water on it, then placed it back in your eye. That was a close one..
The contact I wore was identical to my original eye color, so it was pretty hard to tell I was wearing it. It was expensive, sure, but it helped me get by easily.
You handed Kurapika his water back, thanking him.

"Thank you so much Kurapika, I don't know what I would do without you and the others." You smiled, but you felt bad. You were keeping a huge secret from them, which made you feel a bit guilty. He seemed very confused about your situation like he was about to ask something, but it seems like he decided not to in the end.

"Sheesh, it's been two hours!!" Leorio was complaining, but you couldn't really blame him. It was kinda getting annoying.

"What if all the others took different routes?! Only a fool would still be at the top of the tower!!"

Well, that certainly was a possibility.

Kurapika, calm as ever, stepped in. "Calm down Leorio, complaining won't help."

"But- what if no one comes before we reach our time limit?!"
You sighed.
"Leorio, please-"
Suddenly, you heard a knocking noise on the roof. You all went up to the crack, and watched as someone fell through the roof.

....

I was wrong.
Of course it was someone annoying, you have got to be kidding me. How irritating. Tonpa looked at the five of you one by one, and then noticed you, with the most annoyed expression on your face.

"IT'S YOU!!" You both said at the same time. You both glared at each other, you knew this wasn't going to turn out well.

"(Y/n), you know this guy personally?" Kurapika asked.

"Yes, it's the pervert that tried giving us that weird juice, remember?! His hand is coving the tag! Number 16!!"

Agh, how was I supposed to get through like this. The others didn't know what to say, but it was quite reasonable. I was probably acting like an idiot right now, so I just stopped talking and kept silent.

"Tonpa-san!" Gon said with a surprised expression on his face. Killua was the complete opposite, standing there without a care. Tonpa put the stopwatch on his wrist, and a wall suddenly opened.

..I guess this is where everything begins, hopefully I don't get into any fights with Tonpa.
