I walked away from the line and stood next to it, watching as everyone had their food rated. The thing was..

Everyone that had gone so far has all received a no. That was including Gon, Killua, Leorio and even Kurapika. It's sad because Kurapika even worked very hard on his..

The four of them walked over to where I was standing. We were all very confused.

"This is ridiculous, at least let someone pass!" Leorio was pissed. But to be honest, everyone was.

The last person was up, and we were all expecting a no.

"Agh!! What is this?! This is so GROSS! It's too dry!! Big no for you, better luck next year!"

Our prediction was right.

"These all taste the same!! I'm positive that none of you took cooking seriously," she said.

Everyone started complaining, but they all had a reason to. This wasn't fair, we should have at least some kind of exception.. so everyone was failing this year. Great. Amazing. Everything was going planned.

...not.

I sighed and facepalmed at everyone's bickering and reactions, before I noticed an aircraft in the sky. It was going... over here? It inched closer and closer to the ground, as it revealed an old but determined looking man. He was dressed in a white and blue kimono, and had some interesting piercings on his earlobes.

He walked towards us, making his way through all of the other people taking part in the hunter exam.

"Menchi, don't be ridiculous. This strict behavior is not going to be tolerated, redo this phase and give them a different task. That way, at least some people will join." Menchi rolled her eyes and gave him a "fine, whatever" look, and proceeded to share her other idea with all of us.

"First of all, I'm sorry for making you all fail the first time. However, I do have a makeup exam that everyone can take part in," she said.

What a relief, and I really thought I was going to fail. Jokes on me.

"This new challenge will be..

Boiled eggs!"

God, I suck at cooking. I'm hella clumsy as well. This is probably not going to go very smoothly..

Menchi spoke again. "Chairman, can you take us to Mt. Split-in-Half in your airship?" He agreed, so we all aborted the ship to get there.

She led us to a cliff with, well, I don't really know how to explain it. It looked like some kind of sticky spider web when I looked down.

"This is a Spider Eagle's web," wind started to rapidly flow from it. "Look below the web. You will notice that there are Spider Eagle eggs."

They looked like any ordinary egg to you. Eh, whatever.

Suddenly, Menchi jumped down.

"H-hey wait! Is she trying to get herself killed?!" Leorio exclaimed, worried.

"No, she's not." Both you and Kurapika replied.

The wind rapidly blew again as it shot her up in the air, returning her with an egg in her hands.

"There. Now I just need to boil the egg!"
Someone had to show you how to do this. You didn't even know where to start. Like I mentioned before, cooking certainly wasn't something you couldn't do for a living. Besides that, you just went for it. You jumped down with the other four, and watched as other people taking the exam started to jump down as well.

People started recklessly going for an egg. That was a bad idea, there was no wind..

Suddenly, the web you were hanging on started to loosen. This couldn't be good, other people were already falling, too. Maybe the web could hold the other four, but five was way too many to count. You held on tighter and tighter, but the support on the web was too heavy. Your hand eventually slipped, causing you to fall.

"(Y/n)!!"

You felt someone clench your wrist. Your frightened face looked up to see the one and only, Kurapika.
"Be careful, please.." he looked at you with a worried expression.

"I'm sorry, but the web just can't hold all of us—"

"It's gonna snap!"

..

"Now!"

The five of you fell down to grab an egg, and it was surprisingly a success. You thought you were going to die or something because of the fall you almost took. Close call.

The wind started blowing again, forcing you up into the air. Your feet swiftly touched the ground, the egg safely carried in your arms.

'I actually did it!"
