Leorio's POV

I called Kurapika just like (y/n) said, and surprisingly, he answered this time.
K: "Leorio! I was just about to call you.

L: "yeah, sure. Anyways (y/n) told me to call you, because she's like, busy and doesn't know how to explain her situation so.. she told me to call you."

K: "I see. (Y/n) has been captured by the phantom troupe, and I'm trying to rescue her. But first I need to take down Uvogin, because I already said that I would be going. You can continue whatever you're doing, however if I call you, I expect you to answer it."

L: "same goes for you—" before I could keep talking, the brat already hung up the phone. What a buzzkill. So (y/n) was captured..
In the meantime, me, Killua, and Gon found a way to earn more Jenny. It was to capture the people who invaded the auction, but it would cost us five million Jenny in return. We decided to join anyways, because we couldn't think of any other way to make enough to get Gon and Killua greed island.

Your POV
I was still captured, hearing the bickering from the other Phantom Troupe members about their specific component "Uvogin."
I knew Kurapika was up to something. If he was that tedious to capture him, then he was probably plotting his death right about now. And I know exactly where.
I just need to get out of here as soon as possible.
The members of the phantom troupe were then talking about someone that they were after.
Chain...user?
They kept using that term, and it was very familiar to me.
Wait..
Kurapika?
They were talking about Kurapika, and how they wanted to kill him.
There's no way I'm letting that happen, of course. Since I'm already here, I think I might just have an advantage. A few minutes later, a pink haired woman came up to me, asking a question with a serious face.
"Do you know anyone..
Who possesses chains?" She said. I played dumb with my best acting face, which was pretty convincing if you ask me.
"What? No, I don't. Just let me go, there's nothing you can use me for." I don't think she bought it.

"Pakunoda," she called out to the blonde haired lady.
"Could you review this girl's memories?"
"Not just yet." The same small guy with the raspy voice and weird mask replied.
"We have to kill our hostage as some point. She is a Shinobi."
You have got to be kidding. These losers think that they could kill me? I was here for revenge, not to get myself killed.
"Besides, someone who uses chains has never been seen with her. It would be a waste of time to check for now."
Good. I was out of danger once again, that was a very close one. Suddenly, both the leader and the phantom troupe entered a separate room, so that I couldn't listen in on their conversations about Kurapika. That gave me some spare time, so I planned an escape. Before I could do anything, I received a text message on my phone. I burned the ties on my wrists, and read the message.

"Don't escape just yet. You're going to get yourself killed, for I have a plan. This is from Sho, your opponent during the hunter exam. That woman with the blonde hair can check your memories at any given time, but I have an advantage. I can temporarily erase people's memories for a maximum of one day, so whenever they decide to review your memories, I am here to help you. This is my nen ability by the way."

It was Sho! But how did he get my number? Probably from Bisky or something like that. I decided to reply, but turned my back so that the phantom troupe wouldn't see me texting on my phone if they were to come back into the room that I'm in.
"Oh! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. But how are you going to do that—? Who knows, they could enter the room that I'm in right now. And how do you know I'm in danger?" I messaged back, receiving a reply within a few minutes or so.

"Currently, I am with Melody, Kurapika, and a few other bodyguards as well. I was invited to help out since I am indeed your friend. I hope this isn't too much to order, but I must ask that you wait a few days. We wouldn't want to seem suspicious of capturing you so soon, but you should be safe. I know that you can protect yourself. Kurapika has also murdered phantom troupe memer #11, Uvogin, so they shouldn't have to focus on you too much."

I knew Kurapika was up to something. Of course he killed Uvogin. I can't imagine him doing anything else.. and honestly, I was expecting longer. A few days should be no problem at all. But I wasn't expecting Sho to interact with Kurapika, I hope they're getting along.. I replied once again.

"Okay, that sounds good. I'll stay out of as much danger as I can. Thank you, and tell Kurapika that I congratulate him for his success on finishing off Uvogin!" I didn't get a reply back, but I think he saw the message. It took a couple of hours for one of them to check on me, which was the same short boy with the weird, raspy voice.
"You're still here? Would've expected you to try something and get killed," he said. It was so annoying.
"Exactly what we want."
