Part 30

The exchange was beginning. We got Killua and Gon back, but we lost the leader and Pakunoda. At least we had Killua and Gon, that was really the only thing that I was looking forward to.

We received both of the children, and then headed into the airship.

A few days had passed by, and Kurapika caught a cold.
(Ok you probably know which scene I'm mentioning can we just talk about how F I N E Kurapika looks there, anyways-)
"I really hope Kurapika's fever doesn't break," Gon said.
Honestly, I agreed. Kurapika was stressing himself out so bad, it wasn't good. Getting a fever will give him the chance to catch some rest. During his recovery, I had a plan. I was going to kill one of the spiders. By now, Pakunoda and Uvogin had already died, so that still left quite a few members to choose from. This was my revenge for both my family..

And my dearest brother Shouka. I'm going to find him, one way or another. As these thoughts processed in my head, Gon then turned to me.
"(Y/n), I don't think you or Kurapika should fight the Troupe anymore."
It's like he read my mind or something.
"Oh, but why?" I asked in concern.

"Well, I thought of something when I found out about Kurapika's power. If he wasn't so focused on revenge, then he would've chosen different abilities."

"Yeah, I guess you're right.. but the same doesn't go for my nen ability. I'm still going to fight the Troupe."

Gon then stood up to me, looking up. "But it does, (y/n)!! Your nen ability is based off of the fire you went through whenever you were younger, right?
Your power is based off of your trauma with the Troupe, which isn't very healthy for you."

I didn't want to disappoint Gon, but I had no other choice.
"Gon, there's no need to worry about me. Focus on you and Killua, okay? Focus on going to Greed Island and acquire the things that you've always wanted to do as a hunter," I told him.
"But (y/n)—" he still had some things that he wanted to say, so I knelt down to his level.
"Gon, be a good kid for me. It's going to be a while before we see each other again, so I want you to make the best of your journey instead of wasting all of your time worrying about me." I smiled at him, which he smiled back. I then turned to Killua.

"And you there, don't go off being a trouble maker! Be a good kid as well, okay?" I ruffled his hair.
"Yeah, whatever."
Just as I was about to leave the room, Killua called out to me.
"Y'know, (y/n).."

"Yeah? What is it?"
"Sometimes you remind me of..
The good mother that I never had." He looked away in embarrassment.

That really..
Flattered me a lot.
"Oh, well, I- I'm really glad to hear that!" I replied, awkwardly.
"(Y/n), there's one more thing that I have to ask you!" Gon said.
"You see, me and Killua want to become better at nen! Like, as good as you? But we don't have a master to teach us to do so, and Kurapika already turned us down, so..
Could you?"
If Kurapika turned them down, then there's no way that I could teach them, either. It made me feel bad.
"I'm sorry Gon, but I already have a mission, you wouldn't want me as a sensei. If you're looking for someone to teach you, I know someone who can." They looked at me in curiosity.
"My old sensei, Bisky Krueger, is planning to head off to greed island as well. You should see her there once you arrive, and I've already told her about you guys. She'll know who to look for."

Gon ran up to me, and gave me a hug.
"Thank you so much, (y/n)!! Now we can be super cool like you and Kurapika!" He was smiling, jumping with joy. I wasn't that cool, but if you insist. Killua then joined into the conversation, teasing me.

"Speaking of Kurapika, have you told him about how you feel yet?" He said, smirking and laughing.
"W-what?! H-how do you know about my feelings for him—-" I said, my cheeks a red mess. I couldn't help but stutter at the sudden suggestion.
"C'mon, you're so obvious. Besides, Gon told me he heard you say that you have a crush on him." I looked at Gon with a disappointed face, him scratching the back of his neck with sweat dropping from his face with an awkward smile.
"Gon, you—" suddenly, Kurapika woke up from his fever, rubbing his eyes.
"What are you guys quarreling about.." he said with a tired voice. Killua went up to him confidently.

"Guess what nerd?! (Y/n) has the biggest, most substantial crush on yo-" immediately, I smacked the back of his head and covered his mouth with my hand.
"Shut up Killua!!" I whispered in his ear. Kurapika fully regained consciousness, feeling quite confused.
"Crush on who?" Kurapika asked.
"Ohhhh no one!!! Killua is just feeling a bit nauseous today, which is why he's lying about me!" I said, pissing Killua off.
"Hey, I am NOT-" I cut off his sentence once again.
"Anywayss, I'm going to go now, cya!!" I actually had somewhere to go, though. I needed to meet up with Sho for a little while, because he needed to inform me about something.
"I need to be somewhere as well at the moment, I'll be back in a little bit," Kurapika said. That left just Gon and Killua in the room, since Leorio and Melody went somewhere else. I'm not sure where.
