The girl challenged Gon, but I believed in him. If Gon was able to take down that many people, then he might be able to take her down, too.
She set her arm on the table, locking her hand with Gon's. They started to arm wrestle, and it turned out to be a very close match.
However, Gon still won.
"Aww, that's a shame. And I really wanted the diamond too." I heard her say. Suddenly, she turned my way, and we made eye contact.
"I like your necklace," she told me. It was the necklace my mother gave me, which flattered me a bit.
"Oh, thank you." I replied. She walked off with a short boy with a skull mask, and another one with very long earlobes. I checked the time, realizing that it was 7:30.
"Oh shoot!! I'm going to be late, I'll see you later Leorio! Tell the others I left and will come back later maybe I don't know!" I shouted. Leorio was curious about where I was going, but let me go anyways.
I was running and running, until I saw the hotel. This is the place where Hisoka wanted to see me, was it? It's also the place where Kurapika works. I went behind the building like the message had said.
I slowly crept around the corner, no one to be seen. I felt like someone was watching me.
"Come out, Hisoka. I know you're there." He came out, a deck of cards in his hands.
"Oh~ how did you know it was me who sent that messsage~?" I facepalmed.
"Dumbass, the face emoji looks like yours. Now I'm not here to waste time, so what is it that you need from me?"
"My my (y/n), that isn't very nice~" I rolled my eyes at him and tapped my foot.
"I don't have all day."
"Well, I'm in very close contact with the troupe who killed your family~"
How does he know about my family-
"And I know your secret."
Before I could process this, Hisoka ran up to me and put one of his cards next to my neck.
"Take the contact out of your eye or I'll kill you." I did as he said, my voice trembling. He took the contact out of my hand and threw it on the ground, stomping it to bits.
"Why must you hide your beautiful eyes so much darling~" he asked in a flirty tone. My eye started glowing, him noticing it.
"A shinobi, aren't you?" I didn't say a word.
I was afraid.
Terrified.
If I didn't have my contact, someone could see my face before I could go out and buy a new one. This was bad news, and I can't escape with Hisoka here. I was in danger.
"Not much of a talker, are you?~"
"Hisoka, please! I can't go out like this, you don't know how afraid I am." Tears started forming in my eyes, but I don't think he pitied me.
"I'm doing this for your sake, you can't hide this forever and I'm sure you know that~" I sighed and ran away. I don't even wanna know how he found out.
On my way out of the back, I ran into someone. I fell back, looking up to see Kurapika. He sure did change a lot but-
Oh shit..
He saw my face.
My other eye.
"(Y-y/n)?" He stuttered. Tears were overflowing in my eyes, as I continued to run off. Rain started pouring from the sky, my hair and clothes becoming soaking wet. The fact that Kurapika was running after me didn't help me out one bit.
"(Y/n)!! Wait, stop running away! Please!" He said, trailing right behind me. Unfortunately, I was too slow. He grabbed my hand before I could keep running away, and turned my body to face him.
"(Y/n), I-"
"Kurapika, I understand if you hate me. I'm a monster, a mistake, I should have never kept this from you, I've only been causing trouble for you, Leorio and the other two! I just...I hate myself so damn much!"
Tears were running out of my eyes like a water fountain, as I looked away from Kurapika. He paused for a moment, and gently cupped my face with his hands. He turned my head to face this, making sure that I made eye contact with him. He wiped my tears with his right hand, causing me to blush a bit.
"(Y/n), I would never hate you. Why would you ever think that?" He asked, which surprised me.
"Your eyes are the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. You have no reason to hide your secret, for I am a Kurta. I am just like you, but only a little different." He continued to wipe the tears off my face, as the rain kept pouring from the sky, soaking the both of us.
"You are loved, just as I will never leave you in my entire life." He hugged me, which caused my heart to pound at a rate that I probably cannot explain. My face was as red as a cherry, my tears slowing down.
"I-.. thank you so much, Kurapika..I don't know what in the world I would do without you by my side." This caused him to blush too, as he slowly pulled away.
"Now let's explore the world with your eyes shining bright. Do not be afraid of the world around you." He told me, standing by my side.
"But first, let's get you dried up."
He took me to the hotel that he worked at, and handed me a towel.
"Uhm.. if you need to take care of anything, there's a bathroom down that hall to the right, and I'm sorry but I don't have a change of clothes for you." I nodded and thanked him.
"Don't worry about it, Kurapika. But what about you? You're wet too, and it's kinda my fault." I looked away.
"I'll be just fine. It's probably a lot to process for you, so you should do what you need to, first." I nodded again, and walked down the hall. As I kept walking, people gave me weird looks and stares.
It was my eye, wasn't it? I wasn't getting a cover up for it anytime soon, so.. I might as well leave it out since people are looking at it as the clock ticks.
