Suddenly, part of the wall lifted, revealing a door. I guess it opens once six people put on the watches. Huh.
I could've put the other one on my other wrist. No big deal, we can just pass with five people. Tonpa is quite annoying to say the least, it'll probably be hard to ignore him.

On the door, it gave you a very simple and obvious choice for majority.
"At this door, select O to open, X not to open."
You pressed 'O' on your stopwatch, but then realized someone selected 'X'? Bruh, this is simple. It couldn't have been a mistake.

"Hey, who pressed the X button?" You asked, Leorio wondering the same exact thing.

"Sorry, that was me! I pressed the wrong button by mistake!" Tonpa said. Dumbass. Of course you didn't. I didn't say that out loud, but I seriously wanted to. He was already getting on my nerves, and we were still in this cramped room.

Leorio grabbed Tonpa by the shirt, knowing his obvious lie as well. You were happy he did that, although you didn't want to cause another argument.

"Stop screwing around, old man! Are you blind?!" Leorio shouted in his face.
Exactly my word.
They were probably gonna be arguing for awhile though, so I just calmed Leorio down. I placed my hand on his shoulder with a look that said 'it's fine, relax ok?' Which made him stop immediately, probably because he was a simp for you. We didn't have time for all of this right now..

You all passed through the door, leaving another question that needed to be decided by majority.

"Which way do you want to go?
O for right. X for left."

You decided to go for right. You really didn't know which path to take, right just seemed.. right. Y'know?
The results showed, four people voting for right, two people voting for left. Here comes another argument..

Leorio started picking yet another fight with Tonpa, but Kurapika also had enough. "C'mon, we don't have time to bicker." You all went right, which made Leorio a bit irritated that no one was on his side.

You kept walking to see white flooring that ended off at a cliff. There was nothing but darkness down there, and not even a bridge to transfer to the other side. Instead, there was this square block in the middle with four torches in each corner.

You looked up to notice what seemed like..prisoners on the other side? They were wearing dark green cloths with handcuffs on their hands. They were looking down so that you couldn't see their faces. Suddenly, the handcuffs released from their hands as the first man pulled the cloth off over his head, stepping up. The speakers turned on, explaining this phase of the exam.

Ah, I get it now. So the people on the other side were examiners, and we had to fight them. There were six of them, one for the each of you. This meant that the fights were one on one. (I added six and not five so that there's some epic scenes for y/n)

We were allowed to use any method we wanted to, but we were only able to fight once. As a weapon, you had kunai darts, although you probably wouldn't use them much because knocking out an enemy was an easy task for you. It was all part of being a shinobi, of course. I would also have to make my opponent admit defeat, which shouldn't be hard. Hopefully that is. Our team had to get three wins in order to pass. No wonder, it was a majority rule after all.

We must reach this goal within 72 hours, because the examiners were trying to buy time from us. Defeating someone shouldn't take too long, we have plenty of time on our hands so it doesn't really matter if someone screws this up.

Tonpa and Gon had gone up, everything was going pretty smoothly so far if I do say so myself. Well, except for Tonpa. That idiotic bastard gave up before his battle even started.
It was now Kurapika's turn, and then Leorio, and then me. I watched as Kurapika stepped up, getting prepared to fight the examiner who was assigned to fight him.
The examiner who he was battling took his cloth off, revealing his face. He looked quite.. different. Not something you would see everyday, but oh well.

The big blue guy tried to come off as intimidating, but it didn't shake Kurapika one bit. It wasn't even that scary, what was he trying to improve..
I kept observing, until I overheard them say..
Battle to the death? Surely, Kurapika wasn't crazy enough to forfeit his life in the exam, before we even got out...
...
..
.
Okay, he was. He agreed to fight to the death, great. Kurapika is strong anyways, I doubt he'd die.
He took off his tabard, about to take out his wooden swords. That was until the strange blue guy told him no weapons, what a wimp. Kurapika tossed his wooden swords aside, watching as the fight was about to begin. If I'm being honest, Kurapika's opponent didn't seem even a tad bit scary at all to me. His opponent turned around, revealing a tattoo of a spider with twelve legs on his back. Kurapika gasped as if he's seen a ghost or something, but..

I couldn't blame him. The spiders teamed up with other Ninja's to destroy my family. And they did..
I have one other family member that may or may not still be alive — my brother.

His name was Shouka (l/n), he ran away from the fire that the spiders and ninja's caused before I got to say goodbye to him. I'm pretty sure that he escaped safely, although I couldn't be certain. I was severely burned in the fire, which caused me to have a dreadful scar on the back of my neck. Luckily I was saved, but I wasn't sure by who. I passed out before I could even figure out the details.
