flash forward four days of nothing but nervous excitement, stressful nights of overthinking on ryun's part, and late night counseling on jihoon's part, and today was their shoot for the wedding.

right now ryun was getting zipped into her dress while her family and jihoon's mother sat around her getting ready or conversing amongst themselves.

"you look so gorgeous unnie," kannika said, resting her chin on ryun's shoulder and wrapping her arms loosely around her, "she would have been proud you know."

happily accepting the embrace, ryun smiled brightly at her cousin through the mirror, "i know, thank you. as fake as this is, mom would have loved it."

giggling softly, kannika pressed a light kiss to her older cousin's cheek before stepping back and offering a hand, "you ready to get hitched to the fake man of your dreams?"

taking her hand with a smile, ryun mused, "of course, i've been dreaming of this day."

leading the walk toward the place where the wedding venue would be held, ryun and kannika stayed behind while the rest took their seats and ryun's father met them. since her mother couldn't be there, her father would be the one to walk her down the aisle after her niece, who was the flower girl, went.

suddenly ryun felt a wave of anxiety and fear rush through her, causing her breath to catch in her throat and struggle to speak, "n-nika, i'm nervous." she mumbled, quickly moving to clutch her cousin's hand.

"you'll be fine unnie, now isn't the time for cold feet. it's not even real, after the show you'll never even have to see him again if you don't want to." kannika tried to reassure her, gently grasping her hand back and using her other hand to rub comforting circles into her back.

still struggling, ryun inhaled slowly and nodded. the fact that she was getting married, even if it was fake, in front of a camera with with a crew of people behind it watching her every move wasn't a fact she'd acknowledged until now. and even then now wasn't exactly the time.

before any other words could be exchanged between the cousins, ryun's father interrupted them with the news that the ceremony would begin any minute and kannika had to take her seat. before she left, she gave ryun a hug and whispered a final comforting message into her ear.

"you look beautiful babygirl, i'm so proud you. i know your mother would be and is too." her father whispered into her ear, taking his position next her and taking her arm into his.

as seventeen's adore u (vocal team ver) began to play and the doors opened for her to walk down the aisle, ryun glanced quickly at her father with a soft smile and whispered back, "thank you daddy."

her team, her immediate family and cousin, jihoon's parents, and his members all smiled as she descended the aisle where jihoon looking as perfect as ever and a fake priest were.

the ceremony was a small but comfy and beautiful. with the theme being something between a traditional setting with a modern flare, the color palette was a simple ivory and black with little elements of gold mixed in for contrast. ryun and jihoon themselves decided on many of the design choices and if it weren't for the giant camera and crew filming them right now, ryun really would believe (and honestly wouldn't mind) she was marrying jihoon for real.

speaking of jihoon, as she neared the alter and separated from her father with a kiss placed on her cheek, she couldn't help but admire him. the black suit he was wearing was a simple design. when picking out a suit, he didn't want anything special, just enough to look the part and not take the attention from her. his makeup and hair were the same, overall his look was nothing special but the simplicity of it all made her heart stop before speeding up again when he took her hands into his own and gave her the brightest smile she'd ever seen.

"you may now all be seated." the 'priest' announced, as the pair moved to face each other, holding hands and staring into each other's eyes.

"let us begin the ceremony." he said, opening his 'bible' and beginning the nuptials. they were as boring as one would expect and it was clear the 'priest' was completely over it but for the sake of the appearances kept going.

when it was time for their vows (the only part worth waiting for), ryun stared straight into jihoon's eyes with a gentle smile and a tightened grip on his hands. they had both memorized their vows before hand and were more than prepared to speak them aloud.

"squish," she began, hearing a collective laugh from the crowd, "these last couple of months with you have honestly been some of the best of my life. you have always been an amazing person, who's talent, passion for what you do, and ambition for your music is beautiful. i know we've been friends for a while now, but living with you on this show, has given me a new perspective about you. i care about you, everything you say and do is so fascinating and interesting to me, i have come to really treasure our friendship, and it is truly an honor to be your wife."

there was an 'aw' from the crowd, as the priest called jihoon next to speak his vows.

"noona," he began, "if you would have told a year ago we would have been up here, getting married, i would have looked at you and laughed straight in your face. but, now that we're here, i can honestly say there is nobody i'd rather be up here with than you. your always here when i need you, you listen to and respect me, you make me laugh when i need it and know just what to say when i'm down. your a beautiful person in all the most prefect ways. i'm truly the luckiest man alive to get the chance to be your husband."

after reciting his vows, ryun and jihoon focused on the priest who announced them man and wife before closing.

"you may now kiss the bride." he said, closing his 'bible' and offering a smile to the 'newlyweds.'

switching focus from the 'priest' to each other, jihoon's eyes widened as if to ask 'you okay with this?'

smiling and nodding discreetly toward him, he crossed the space between them in three steps and placed his hands on her cheeks gently. leaning down to meet her skin, his lips met her cheek tender kiss that was marked with the loud cheering and clapping from guests.

more a shy peck, than a real kiss, it was neithertheless a short but sweet moment, one forever memorialized by the camera filming them thousands of south koreans to watch on their tvs. as they pulled away and shared a blushed filled smile together, the ceremony ended and the cameras cut.
