PLAY is the second digital single from cube entertainment female soloist, ryun, released on september 17, 2020 to all streaming services and youtube.
her second release after nearly a year without any new music, play was received with mixed reactions from fans. most were expecting an album seeing as stay tonight had done so well and she hasn't had an album in nearly a year and a half. others loved the song for it's reggaeton elements mixed in with latin pop. upon it's release it received over twenty million views in it's first twenty-four hours. she would have her second online concert, beyond live - ryun: play all night pt.2, on october 15. this was a relatively controversy free era, with a minor scandal occurring when netizens found out her performance partner, kim hongin, had a hearing disabilty. ryun was accused of only choosing him for sympathy points and not actually caring about his talent. this was later cleared up when hongin posted a picture of them together on his instagram with a caption complimenting her.
