mikami wakana, known by her stage name TAIGA(타이가), is a japanese singer-songwriter, actress and model under MYSTIC STORY ENTERTAINMENT. she is currently a member of the korean-japanese girl group BROWN EYED GIRLS. she debuted with the group on march 2, 2006 with the album YOUR STORY. she made her solo debut on july 14, 2008 with the album I FEAR HOT GIRLS. she announced a hiatus from the group on may 19, 2014 to return to her home country following the legal adoption of her nephew. she remained active as a soloist within japan, and would miss the group's 2015 comeback with the album BASIC. she would remain on hiatus within korea until 2017 when she would comeback with her 5th single as a soloist titled, GASHINA. she returned to the group for their cover album RE_VIVE in 2019.
