Chloe glanced up, her eyes wandering to the bar when she heard a woman laughing loudly. She rolled her eyes when she suddenly realised that the woman in question was flirting with Lee. Her stomach churned when she noticed the skin tight, short dress that the woman was wearing. Chloe rolled her eyes when the woman laughed once again, flicking her hair as she placed her hand on Lee's arm. She sighed to herself, her insecurities swirling around her head as she stared transfixed on the beautiful woman. Despite the fact that Chloe knew in her heart, how much Lee adored her, she couldn't help but worry that she would one day lose him to someone more beautiful than her. She carefully placed her hand on her bump, gazing down at her baby affectionately, trying to distract herself from what was happening. Chloe slowly kicked off her shoes and tucked her legs onto the sofa, fidgeting slowly as she tried to find a comfortable position She winced, softly massaging her abdomen in an ill-conceived attempt to relieve the cramps in her abdomen.
"Is everything okay?" Lee asked nervously, as soon as he returned to the table and sat beside her. Chloe nodded slowly, her gaze remaining fixed on her lap. She glanced over to the bar as she felt someone watching her closely, her heart plummeting when she realised the woman that had been flirting with Lee was still watching her closely. She sighed and quickly tore her eyes away, glancing down at Lee's hand as he rested it on her lap, softly stroking small circles on her bare legs.
"What's going on Chlo?" he asked, not quite able to shake the feeling that something was bothering her.
"Nothing." she mumbled, glancing up at him for a moment, before sighing deeply and quickly averting her eyes. Her gaze flickered to the woman at the bar, who was still staring, her gaze transfixed on Lee as she took a swig of her drink. Lee frowned to himself when he noticed Chloe's eyes darken. He followed her gaze, his stomach plummeting when he instantly realised what she was looking at.
"Just ignore her." he sighed, his heart breaking a little when he saw the look of deep sadness on her face. She nodded slowly, smiling slightly when he placed a soft kiss on her cheek, sighing in contentment when he rested his face against hers, inhaling her familiar scent.
"People always flirt with you anyway." she whispered sadly as she rested her head on his shoulder and snuggled against his collarbone, her cheeks colouring when she glanced up at him and saw that he was gazing at her longingly. He watched her closely as she winced in pain and gently massaged her bump, trying to do something to ease the pain that she was feeling.
"Is Freyja moving again?" he asked, gently placing his hand on top of hers.
"No, it's just cramps." she mumbled. Lee nodded slowly, sighing quietly when he saw Chloe's eyes flicker to the bar once again. She relaxed against him, wrapping her arms around his waist and snuggling into his arms. He wrapped his arm around her waist, his other hand still stroking her bare legs as he desperatly tried to find a way to reassure her that he only had eyes for her.
"Do you miss being single and hooking up with a different woman most nights?" she mumbled against his neck, glancing up at him when he sighed deeply at her words.
"No not at all." he said quickly, gazing down at her, still not quite able to comprehend the fact that she constantly doubted herself and his feelings for her.
"Even though they were beautiful models." she muttered, glancing over at the woman at the bar once again, her heart sinking when Chloe noticed that she was still watching them closely.
"So are you though." he whispered, gently placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
"You don't understand because you've never had a hook up, but it's totally different when you love someone." he added, shooting her a small smile when she lifted her head to stare at him.
