I was rudely awakened by my brother Corbyn blowing an air horn outside my door. I quickly got up, accidentally knocking my laptop on to the ground, and ran over to my door.
I cringed at the loud thud from the laptop crashing down.
I unlocked it and swiftly swung it open.

"CORBYN! SERIOUSLY?"

"Yes seriously get up! I'm about to make something to eat do you want anything?" He smirked.

"What time even is it?" I asked Corbyn rubbing my eyes.

"Its 8:45 so get your lazy butt up!" Corbyn said loudly.

"You are so annoying its not even funny." I sighed.

"Love you too sis!" He yelled as he was running down the stairs into the kitchen, knowing I was possibly about to attack him.

"I will be down in 20 minutes corb." I yelled down the stairs. I closed my door, picked out something to wear, and did my hair and my makeup. Something like this:

Soon enough, I walked down the stairs and there was Corbyn, making eggs

Soon enough, I walked down the stairs and there was Corbyn, making eggs.
"Ew, why do you always make eggs?" I asked.

"Its not my fault you were born with a brain that says you don't like eggs. You are just weird." He laughed at his own comment.

"Whatever corbs, did mom get more bananas?"

"Yeah they are over here on the counter."
"Sweet" I grabbed some milk, ice, bananas, and Corbyn's chocolate protein powder to make a smoothie.

"When are you gonna start buying your own protein powder instead of stealing mine?" He chuckled.

"Whenever you stop buying it." I gave him a sneaky grin and went back to making my smoothie.

"Don't forget I'm leaving next week. You won't have big brother around to protect you anymore." Corbyn said.

"Why do you have to live with the boys? Why can't you do things over call?" I asked pouting at him, taking a sip of my smoothie.

"Because I can't just take planes back and forth from Virginia to L.A. that's way too expensive."

"What if I don't want you to leave?"

"As fun as staying in Virginia the rest of my life sounds, I'm going to L.A."

"ugh, but your the only one in this family I trust."

"You'll be okay you have mom."

"Corbs do you see mom more then an hour a day when she gets home from working two shifts?"

"Touche Mads." He paused, as the room filled with a comfortable silence.

"Well I'm gonna go pack." He said walking out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

I ran to my room and locked my door.
Im tough. I'm tomboy. But Corbyn moving away? That isn't easy.
Corbyn has been the only person I've really gotten close to.
Mom was at work all the time, so it was just Me, Corbyn, Ashley, and Jordan.
Ashley was usually with her boyfriend, so she wasn't exactly around when I needed to vent.
Jordan wasn't around either.

I sat down, looking through pictures of Corbyn and I as kids, and even recent ones.
Without noticing, I began crying.
I finally noticed when I felt the tear drop on my arm.

Pretty soon, I heard Corbyn on the phone in the other room, so I pulled it together to make sure nobody heard me. I touched up my makeup, hoping Corbyn wouldn't notice the fact my eyes were red.

Corbyn knocked on my door,so I got up and opened it.
Corbyn was standing there with a huge grin on his face. I gave him the "what the heck are you planning" look, and he walked in my room and we sat down.

"Madelyn, you are going to be really happy, and stop crying because you won't want to after you hear this." He smiled.

"YOU HEARD ME?" I yelled, realizing my attempt at hiding it failed.

"No, but your eyes are red so I kinda assumed." He chuckled.

"Whatever, what's the news?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Well..."
