Chapter 33

Sam: "MADELYN BESSON!!"
Your jaw dropped. You won. Against Alaina. After everything. You jumped up, received your award, announcing your studio.
Sam: "Who choreographed your winning number?"
Mads: "Actually, Me!"
Everyone started clapping. You sat back down, earning death stares from Alaina. When they announced your team had won groups, you were extatic. You walked off stage and jumped on to Daniel kissing him.
Daniel: "You did it babe! You won!"
They boys came running down the hall, congratulating you one by one with hugs. You, Daniel, and Corbyn started walking back to the room when Daniel stumbled.
Mads: "You okay Dani?'
Daniel: "I-Im dizzy.."
Mads: "Have you drank anything today?"
Daniel: "Yeah I had a water in the wings.."
Mads: "Have you eaten?"
He nodded leaning his body against a wall. As the halls emptied out, you saw Alainas face at the end.
Daniel slowly slid down the wall, his eyes slowly closing.
Mads: "Wait Dani? Daniel?"
He kept sliding.
Mads: "DANIEL?"
Mads: "Corbyn get a nurse. HURRY!"
Corbyn sprinted off.
Mads: "Daniel? Babe?" He fully collapsed.
After about 3 minutes of you calling his name, he awoke.
Daniel: "What- what happened?"
Mads: "I don't know.. you passed out.. Corbyn went to get help but.."
Daniels eyes widened and he pointed. He quickly came to.
You turned around, watching as Alaina came towards you. Holding something. You couldn't quite make out what it was, but it was small.
He stood up.
Mads: "No Daniel. Stay behind me."
Mads: "What do you want Alaina? You lost, get over it."
Alaina: "Maybe I did. But me loosing, just means you should loose at something too, right?"
Mads: "Alaina Ive lost at a lot. Ive lost so many things. What are you doing Alaina?"
Alaina: "Making you loose at something." She swiped, and everything went black.
Daniels POV
I was standing behind Madelyn. Alaina swiped her hand and Madelyn collapsed. I fell to my knees, holding Madelyns head in my lap, realizing she had just been stabbed.
Daniel: "ALAINA WHAT THE-"
Alaina: "We will see what happens when shes not so tough." She smirked, and walked away.
I began looking over her, wanting to scream and cry, only to hear Corbyns voice behind me.
Corbyn: "Daniel your awake man! What happened?"
I slowly turned my head, holding Madelyns lifeless body.
Daniel: "She. Stabbed. Her."
Corbyn began sprinting and the nurse behind him followed.
They bent down next to her, revealing she had a pulse, but it was slowed. The nurse called 911.
Corbyn: "What happened???"
Daniel: "Alaina happened." I was angry. And it was rising, the more I looked at my girlfriends body in my lap.
Daniel: "Corbyn." I stood up.
He looked up.
Daniel: "Keep me updated."
Corbyn: "Dani what are you doing?"
Daniel: "Something I should have done a long, long time ago.
I walked down the hallway to Alainas team door. I glanced in the window and she was the last one there.
I swing the door open and grabbed her shoulder, pushing her into a wall.
Daniel: "NEVER. NEVER COME BACK INTO MY LIFE ALAINA."
I saw the scared look on her face, but she knew what she did. I quickly and harshly let go, as she slumped over, I began to walk away.
Alaina: "I don't know why your being like this."
I turned around on my heels to face her.
Daniel: "You hurt me. Thats one thing Alaina. But you DO NOT touch my girlfriend. I will make sure, you get charges pressed against you. You. Stay away from my family when you get out of Jail. Attempted murder, IS NOT a joke. This place has cameras Alaina. You made a dumb choice today and now you are dealing with consequences."
Alaina: "Daniel wait. Im sorry."
Daniel: "SORRY DOESN'T GUARANTEE MY GIRLFRIENDS LIFE ALAINA. SORRY DOESN'T FIX EVERYTHING. STAY. AWAY."
I slammed the door and saw Madelyn being loaded into the ambulance. The boys came up to me asking what happened, and I explained. We all got in the cars and followed them to the hospital. I was silent the entire time from anger. Never did I think my ex, would know my girlfriend. Let alone stab her. This is all my fault. I should have protected her. I feel horrible. She deserves someone better. Someone who won't kiss another girl, because they aren't thinking. Someone who would have stepped in and gotten stabbed instead of her. But no, here I am, realizing, all Im doing, is ruining her life.
Zachs POV
When Daniel told me what happened, my heart sank. Daniel shouldn't have let this happen. I wouldn't have. I just hope shes okay. I never told her I liked her. No. Loved her. What if she dies, not knowing? All because of Daniels stupid ex. I mean, its not his fault, but why didn't he step in when Madelyn told him to stand behind her? Daniel should have stood in front of her, just in case. Don't let a woman protect you, you protect the woman. I am angry, sad, emotional, and to be honest, I don't know what to think. All I know, is that Alaina, will have charges, and a restraining order. Madelyn is usually forgiving, but even if she wants to let Alaina off the hook, Im not letting her. And I have a small hunch the boys won't allow it.
If it comes to it, I will protect that girl with everything I have. Unlike Daniel. Daniel can say what he wants, but I will watch that girl like a hawk. This can't happen again. I know Daniel is blaming himself, but it isn't his fault. Although I do believe he shouldn't have let her stand in front knowing Alaina was after her, he couldn't have known. Whatever it takes out of me, I will not let this happen again. She needs protection sometimes. She was trying not to punch Alaina again, so she wouldn't loose her win. But this time, maybe she should have. Because Madelyn was being nice, and was trying to be mature about the situation, and it only led to this. The boys watching her being put in an ambulance. Corbyn sitting in there with her. Us not knowing how bad it is. We are just hoping for the best.
