Chapter 26

After you woke up, you did your makeup again, and walked downstairs to see Daniel on the couch. He looked up behind him long enough to see it was you.
Daniel: "Hey..."
Mads: "Hi Dani."
You went to the kitchen to make something to eat since it was almost 12.
Mads: "You want something?"
Daniel: "Uh, yeah.. sure."
You made chicken and rice with vegetables, kinda your take on chinese. You learned a lot of recipes, because your mom really liked cooking new things.
Mads: "Its ready."
Daniel walked over to the island and sat down as you slid him a bowl of food, turning around to grab yours.
Daniel: "Thanks it looks good."
You just nodded.
Daniel: "I know. Im just as bad as your ex and Im sorry."
Mads: "Daniel I don't care what you do, you beat my ex by a long shot."
Daniel: "No Mads I don't. I kissed her back and cheated on you."
Mads: "Heres the difference between you and Grant. He cheated, by sleeping with a girl. You, made a mistake. He, put his hands on me. You, would never touch me."
Daniel: "Thats wrong to put your hands on a woman. But that doesn't change the fact I feel like a monster."
Mads: "Daniel mistakes happen. If you would have said from the beginning, yes I kissed her back.. Im sorry it was a mistake I didn't mean it, would I have been mad? Yes. Would I have blown you off for a day or two? Probably. But our relationship would be fine getting through it. Daniel knowing what I have been through you continued to try and cover it. You got the boys to lie for you."
He looked down and sighed.
Mads: "Let me ask you this. Did Corbyn know? Did my own brother lie to me?"
Daniel: "No... he didn't even know anything happened until we got in the car and I didn't want to die so.."
Mads: "Do you even know the chick?"
Daniel got quiet.
Mads: "Daniel."
Daniel: "Yeah.. shes my ex.."
You scoffed a little.
Mads: "Let me just put this together. We have a relationship, yet you give in to your ex?"
Daniel nodded sadly.
Mads: "Daniel Im sorry but you need to figure out what you want in your life. Me or your ex."
Daniel: "You obviously, I don't want her, I don't have feelings for her, she was all over me and I know her. The only way to get her to stop is give her what she wants and I know thats not an excuse but.. Mads Im sorry."
Mads: "I know you are Daniel. During this "Break," I would advise you, don't mess up."
Daniel: "I know.."
You began walking away.
Daniel: "Mads wait." He grabbed your wrist, still sitting on the chair. He pulled you back to him.
Mads: "Daniel what are you doing-"
Daniel kissed you. You needed it, but you had to pull away. Daniel can't win that easily. If he wants you back, hes gonna have to put up a fight to not loose you.
Mads: "Daniel. We are on a break. Stop."
He sighed.
Daniel: "Worth a shot.."
You walked away and sat down on the couch until Daniel finished eating. You sat on one couch while Daniel sat on the other watching Tv until the boys got home. They walked in and saw you on seperate couches.
Jonah: "I take it you didn't make up..."
Mads: "Still on a break."
The boys sighed and went upstairs and after about an hour they were all scattered around the living room watching Tv.
Corbyn: "Daniel come here."
Daniels POV:
Corbyn called me into the other room and we walked into the studio since it was sound proof.
Corbyn: "Fix this."
Daniel: "How Corbyn?"
Corbyn: "I don't know Daniel. You did it. And its making me want to punch you more and more seeing the pain in my baby sisters eyes. That sparkle is gone Daniel. Fix it."
Daniel: "I tried apologizing, I don't know whats gonna fix it Corbyn. I messed up."
Corbyn: "I don't know either Daniel. Maybe you should figure it out."
Daniel: "I DON'T KNOW HOW CORBYN."
Corbyn: "Daniel, I don't know. Keep trying to get to her. She will give in trust me. And if all else fails... try something new I don't know."
Daniel sighed and rubbed his forehead.
Daniel: "Don't you think I would if I could? I love her. Corbyn I will try but don't say anything about what im doing."
Corbyn shook his head and walked out of the room as I fell back into one of the chairs. I sighed and put my head in my hands, a million thoughts running through my mind. I had to fix this. I just don't know how.
Next thing I knew Madelyn slowly opened the door and sighed.
Mads: "Daniel"
Daniel: "Yes Besson."
She scoffed lightly and grinned a little.
Madelyns POV:
Besson. I haven't been called Besson in a long time. Not since I was little.
Mads: "We need to fix this. Corbyn is on my back and I know hes on yours."
Daniel: "Madelyn I know you don't trust me right now. How am I supposed to change that and then be a happy couple like we have been?"
Mads: "I don't know..not kiss another girl?"
Daniel scoffed and smiled.
Daniel: "Well no dip sherlock."
Mads: "I think I know you know you messed up.. You abused your watermelon." You smiled and giggled a little.
Daniel smiled too.
Daniel: "How about for now.. we are fine obviously.. but for the next couple weeks I will make it up to you."
Mads: "Dani your on probation. You deserve it. You should go to jail for abuse. If that watermelon wasn't so injured it would probably call CPS."
You and Daniel laughed.
Daniel: "Sooooo... You are my girlfriend still right.. or do I need to like.. Re-ask you out?"
Mads: "If you ask me out again I might die inside."
Daniel smiled and grabbed your hand pulling your chair closer to his. You kissed him and he kissed back. It had only been two days, but you missed it. The sparkle in his eye was back, and maybe Corbyn would stop saying yours was gone. But this time.. you were moving slow. You didn't want to risk anything this time.
