Daniel: "Why do I recognize the voice.."
You heard someone stomping up the stairs opening doors one by one trying to find Daniel.
Jonah ran in and closed the door behind him, standing in front of it holding it shut.
Jonah: "Daniel.. Ex.."
Daniel: "WHAT WHY IS SHE HERE"
Jonah: "I DON'T KNOW"
Jonah started struggling holding the door open. Someone was fiddling with the door knob trying to get in.
??: "Daniel LET ME IN"
Daniel: "LEAVE YOU SHOULD KNOW YOUR NOT WELCOME HERE."
You just sat there watching things happen.
Jonah: "Daniel I can't hold it"
Daniel: "Madelyn stay behind me. Let her in Jonah."
A girl burst through the door.
??: "Dani! There you are! Who is she?"
Daniel: "My girlfriend."
??: "Girlfriend?"
She looked at you.
Daniel: "Yes. MY GIRLFRIEND. Why are you here, you have been told you aren't welcome."
??: "Well I came to take my man back, from this chick who stole him."
Daniel: "Im not your man anymore. I dumped you."
??: "Is it because of this chick? Whats your name huh?"
Mads: "Madelyn. Can I help you?" You stood up and Daniel put his arm in front of you.
Daniel: "Madelyn. NO."
??: "Yes actually you can. Get off my man."
Mads: "According to the last three weeks, hes MY man. Not yours."
Daniel: "Alaina, LEAVE."
Mads: "OH YOUR THE CRAZY CHICK"
Alaina: "Dani what have you told her? I don't know who you think you are, but stay away from him."
Mads: "Im not stupid. And I know exactly who I am. And you better get out of my house before I throw you out with no limbs."
Alaina: "HA Who said anyone could touch ME?"
Mads: "I JUST DID SISTER."
Daniel grabbed you as you started inching closer to her.
Daniel: "Madelyn stop."
Alaina: "Let her. She looks weak anyway. I mean, Daniel isn't smart enough to pick someone stronger than him after me."
Mads: "I will have you know Daniel is way smarter than you could ever be. And I am NOT weak."
Daniel: "ALAINA LEAVE."
Then you realized. Alaina.. Alaina Mitchells. Dance competiton. Thats why she looked so familiar."
Mads: "Wait hold on a second. Your last name is mitchells."
Alaina: "And how do you know that?"
Mads: "I know that, because guess who it is Alaina? Im a Besson."
Alaina: "HAH Madelyn Besson. Long time no see. I guess I didn't put your face with your name until I heard Besson.
Mads: "Get out."
Alaina: "Hows Corbyn?"
Daniel looked shocked.
Mads: "I said leave Alaina. I really don't wanna do this again."
Alaina: "Go for it. Maybe your dad will be proud."
You instantly went red. Your ears got hot, and Daniel saw it, so he grabbed your shoulders pulling you close to him.
Daniel: "Madelyn don't do it."
Alaina: "GO FOR IT BESSON. Lets see how the last five years treated you."
Daniel: "Madelyn. Don't."
Mads: "You, are the reason I lost everything that night. I WANT YOU OUT."
Alaina: "Make me."
You jerked foward but Daniel gripped on you tighter.
Mads: "CORBYN."
Corbyn ran in the room, realizing everything just by the looks on faces.
Mads: "Get her out before I get out of Daniels hands."
Alaina: "Hi Corbyn."
Corbyn: "Get out of my house Alaina. Nobody wants you here."
Alaina: "You know what? Fine. I will see you at nationals Madelyn." She smirked.
You jerked again, and Daniel tightened his grip once more, after loosening it before hand.
Daniel: "How-"
You broke down. You slowly slid down Daniels body behind you like a wall. He was still holding you so he bent down with you until he let his grasp fade.
Jonah: "Corbyn.."
Corbyn bit his lip angrily.
Corbyn: "Shes the one Madelyn punched at her compeititon that year. Thats the night we lost our dad.. because he was rushing to get there."
He swallowed bitterly.
Corbyn: "If it wasn't for that petty trashbag, our dad would still be here. I never said anything because I knew she was your ex Daniel."
Daniels face fell. He slowly sat down behind you wrapping his arms around you, holding you in a tight comforting hug.
Jonah was shocked. He just stood there in silence until both him and Corbyn left you and Daniel alone.
You cryed into Daniels chest for what felt like hours, but it was only 15 minutes. Daniel stood up, and you stayed on the ground. He picked you up like a toddler and sat you on your bed, pausing the movie to leave nothing but comforting silence after the choas that just crashed down like a tornado.
Daniel: "Whatever happened that night isn't your fault mads.."
Mads: "I know. Its Alainas. But it feels like it is."
At this point it was around noon, Zach should be home any minute. He missed out on all the craziness that had become the Why Don't We house just minutes beforehand.
