Chapter 43

Zachs room was covered in roses.
Mads: "Zach the answer is no, love you, but no."
Zach: "You DonT EveN KnOw whAt I wAs gONna ask-
Mads: "Then what were you going to ask?"
Zach: "If you wanted to go to a party with me-"
Mads: "Why all the roses?"
Zach: "IDK I THOUGHT GIRLS LIKED THOSE"
Mads: "I prefer mud."
Zach: "Fine next time ill buy a pig pen and spray you with a hose."
Mads: "Sounds fun!"
Zach: "So will you come or not?"
Mads: "Where is it?"
Zach: "Ebens house"
Mads: "mmm..last time that didn't end so well.."
Zach: "PlEASe"
Mads: "Whats it for?"
Zach: "Its a song release, all the boys are going."
Mads: "Ugh fine."
Zach: "YAY"
Mads: "I can wear my jeans right-"
Zach: "uhhhhhhhhh sure...."
Mads: "ITS ONE OF THOSE FANCY PARTIES ISNT IT"
Zach: "maaayybeee?"
Mads: "ZACH"
Zach: "Okay yes, it is."
Mads: "You mean I have to wear a DRESS"
Zach: "I have to wear a suit-"
Mads: "ID PREFER A SUIT AT LEAST THOSE HAVE PANTS"
Zach: "Its at 7." He smiled.
Mads: "I hate you Herron, a lot."
You rolled your eyes and walked to your room, looking for a dress. You didn't own many, but you had enough. And they were really nice, you just hated wearing them simply because they were dresses.
You decided on one and shoved it to the front of your closet, and walked downstairs to get coffee. It was around ten. The boys just chilled playing video games all day, and you filmed a couple covers. You had a youtube channel, but had forgotten about it since you got there. You posted one of them, making the title "My First Cover.... (Three, Lauren Alaina). Nerves were high, as you clicked post.
Zach apparently was subscribed, because as soon as it was done uploading, he ran into your room.
Zach: "IM SO PROUD OF YOUUU"
He hugged you.
Mads: "Have you even watched it?"
Zach: "Nope but im still proud." he sat down, clicking play.

As the video ended, he hugged you again.
Zach: "Show the guys."
You did so, and they were just as proud, and excited. You scrolled through a couple comments, seeing mostly positive ones. A couple mean ones here and there, but thats normal.
You saw one specifically that caught your eye. Ashley Besson.

Im so proud to have this girl as my sister. That was amazing Mads. Who knew you could sing better then Corbyn?
I miss you, and hope to see you soon. The talent that came through my phone, was heavenly.

You awed, to yourself of course, and gave it a heart.
You locked your phone and walked into the kitchen to get food, since it was around 12:30. You made something big, knowing the boys hadn't eaten yet either.
You made tacos because why not, and walked into Zachs room, where he layed in his bed on his phone.
Mads: "I made food, can you help me take it to the boys please?"
He jumped up and walked downstairs with you, grabbing two plates, and you grabbed two, each of you handing them to two boys.
You and Zach walked back in the kitchen and ate at the island.
Zach: "You excited to be faaanccy?"
Mads: "not one bit. If Eben wasn't a friend of you guys, I wouldn't still be going."
Zach: "Im excited to see you in a dress, ive never even seen pictures."
Mads: "Neither will Instagram.. Post me in a dress and Ill murder you."
Zach: "As long as the casket says "Zachary Herron, Member of Why Don't We, Closely befriended to murderer, Madelyn Besson."
Mads: "Nope it will say "Dead Person Inside"
Zach: "WELL NO DUH I SURE HOPE THERES NOT A LIVING PERSON IN A CASKET"
You shrugged.
Mads: "I could burry you alive, I mean that works too."
Zach: "Do it I dare you, I will haunt you for the rest of your life."
Mads: "The whole point is so I don't have to deal with you geez zach. If you haunt me its a loose loose situation. If you live, you bother me, if you die, YOU BOTHER ME"
Zach: "Bothering people is my specialty."
Mads: "I WONDER WHO GAVE YOU THAT IDEAAAA"
He laughed and you both finished eating. You collected the boys dishes, and started cleaning them before Zach moved you out of the way.
Mads: "What are you-"
He started washing dishes. You put your hand on his forhead.
Mads: "Are you okay? Do you have a fever? Did you hit your head?'
Zach: "Am I not allowed to help?"
Mads: "I mean yes but its you, you don't do dishes, you hate them."
Zach: "AND YOUR POINT IS"
You shrugged.
Mads: "Mkay then-"
You layed a towel on the counter after drying your hands, and sat watching Zach clean. Yeah, Zach and Clean in the same sentence is never something you thought would happen.
You chilled with Zach watching the boys play video games for a while, then you went upstairs to watch a movie in his room.
You fell asleep for a while, until you were woken by Zach, telling you to go get ready. It was 5:30, and he wanted to make sure you had time.
You did your hair:

And put on the dress you decided on:

You looked in the mirror, hated it, but got over it.
Zach walked in, in his suit, you looked over at him and his jaw dropped.
Mads: "Close your mouth your drooling" You giggled.
Zach: "Sorry.. You look gorgeous.."
Mads: "I hate it. Lets get this over with."
Zach: "Oh come on, dresses can't be that bad. You look amazing in it."
Mads: "Try having to constantly worry about sitting the wrong way and your underwear showing. Its annoying."
Zach: "Well the boys are ready to go if you are."
You nodded and put on some black heels:

And walked out of your room, grabbing your phone, wallet, and keys.
You walked down the stairs and the boys were shocked at seeing you in something other than jeans.
Corbyn hugged you.
Corbyn: "You look amazing sis."
Mads: "Thanks bubby"
Jonah: "So she went back to all black, not surprised, but the dress is shocking."
Mads: "Don't push it, I would much rather be in jeans. OR EVEN LEGGINGS THOSE WORK TOO"
You and the boys walked out, seperating into your car and Corbyns car.
You and Zach took yours, while the others took Corbyns.
You pulled up to Ebens house, seeing a lot of people. You got nervous but tried not to show it. You and Zach got out, and walked behind the boys.
Zach: "Your fine, I'm here." He whispered, grabbing your hand.
You all walked in, and your grip on Zach tightened a little. He felt it.
Zach: "Mads its okay, Im right here if anything happens, chill out and have fun."
You sighed, and nodded, loosening your grip, but not fully letting go. You closed the front door and took a deep breath before venturing into the crowd, latched onto Zach like a mosquito.
