Chapter 63

A few days had passed since I told Muramasa how Aizen really is. At first, he didn't believe me. But I had to tell Muramasa that I had come back to the past to stop Aizen. He seemed to believe me.

"Hey, Blossom." Grimmjow said, as he opened the door to my cell.

"Yeah?" I looked at  him curiously.

Grimmjow looked around and smiled a bit at me. "You okay there?"

I nod my head. "I knew this was going to happen. Don't worry."

He frowned and walked in my cell. "Whatever happened to worry butt?" He asked as he sat down next to me.

"Worry butt is gone. Everything is just going to change. I'm pretty sure you knew that I may not even have a changed life. I'm going to die, right?" I asked.

"Don't say that. I-" I stopped Grimmjow from saying anything.

"Don't put positive thoughts. The Soul Society is destroyed. The remaining Soul Reapers Zanpakuto has manifested. Aizen has won. He will absorb me. No one can stop him." I said.

This made Grimmjow look down. "So what? I'm pretty sure that he won't absorb you until he needs you. In the meantime, we have to make sure he won't need you."

I stared at him. "Why are you helping me? You're on his side."

Grimmjow held my hand and grinned. "I may be on his side, but, why would I wanna see the girl I love get absorbed?"

I smiled a bit at him, I could feel tears. "That was so cheesy!"

We both laughed and Grimmjow hugged me. "I'm sorry I got you into this..." He whispered.

I stopped laughing and hugged him tightly.

Byakuya had been trying to open the senkaimon, at a point he almost came close.

"Big brother, we lost her... I mean... She will be fine... Stop this. There's no way the senkaimon will open, unless they unlock the gates." Rukia told Byakuya.

"Blossom, will be fine. She's a strong girl. She knows what she's doing." Urahara said.

Byakuya glanced at them and nods his head.

"I've never seen him like this." Rukia told Urahara.

Urahara smiled and looked at Rukia. "He loves the girl. Can't stop love, Rukia."

Rukia looked as Byakuya leaned his back on a wall. Deep in thought.

"Are you trying to open the Gate?"  Someone said.

Byakuya and the others looked back.

"Who are you?" Byakuya asked.

"Grimmjow..." I looked at him.

"I'll bring you dinner later. Just rest up." Grimmjow smiled.

I can never tell if this will be the same Grimmjow who helped face against Aizen. Grimmjow seemed loyal to the Aizen here. I just wished I could tell him everything. The fact that I saw the future. The fact that I came back to save him. To prevent myself from meeting Ichigo. Only to have the same fate again.

"Hey, Grimmjow. What were you doing talking to Lord Aizen's prisoner?" Starrk asked, as Grimmjow entered the new throne of the Arrancars.

Grimmjow shrugged. "Brat still thinks we're friends. I was ordered to keep an eye on her and be her friend."

"Pssh. Yeah! That was his order when you were supposed to watch her in the world of the living. Now, we're in the Soul Society. You being her guardian is over." Lilinette told Grimmjow.

Aizen let out a soft chuckle. "Lilinette is right, Grimmjow. You no longer need to watch over her."

Grimmjow glanced at Aizen then looked away. "Eh. Don't really care."  He said, as he left the throne room.

"Watch, he's still going to visit her. I think he's attached to her." Lilinette said.

I hugged myself and closed my eyes tightly. I wanted to see Byakuya again... I wanted to be in his arms.

"I felt so safe around you..." I whispered. 

I could feel tears falling from my eyes.

I was in such a deep thought about Byakuya, that I could imagine arms wrapping around me.

The arms wrapped tigher, it got warmer too.

"I know you felt safe around me." Someone whispered to my ear.

I quickly opened my eyes and realize that someone was really hugging me.

"Byakuya..." I stared as Byakuya smiled and touched my face.

He looked around and poked my cheek. "You're not hurt right?"

I shook my head. How did Byakuya get here?

He whistled a quick tune and his zanpakuto appeared.

"Senbonzakura, take her to the others." Byakuya said.

Senbonzakura nodded and grabbed my arm.

"N-No. Byakuya, I want to help you." I told him.

He shook his head. "I know you can fight. But, remember. In this timeline your Zanpakuto doesn't exist."

I looked down. "Yes, but... I know you will run into Grimmjow and-"

"Grimmjow has fully sided with Aizen. I know that for a fact. Because I ran into him before arriving here." Byakuya told me.

"You didn't hurt him, right?" I asked.

Byakuya looked away. "What he asked me to do was for the best."

My eyes widened and I glared at Byakuya. "Where is he...?"

"He no longer exists. Grimmjow wanted me to eliminate his existence. He did not wish for you to see the battle." Byakuya explained.

I looked down and frowned. "Why...? Why would you hurt him...?"

"I had to, for your sake." He said.

"My sake?! What do you-" I stopped as Byakuya glared at me.

I got in Grimmjow's way in the past. I never let him go...
