Chapter 17

It took Jushiro and I a while to get to Ichigo's location.

But, we met up with Ichigo, Rukia, two other guys and..

"Byakuya..." I said.

Byakuya glanced at me and had his sword pointed at Ichigo.

"Blossom! You're alright." Ichigo smiled.

I smiled brightly and ran to him. "Ichi-" Before I could reach Ichigo, Byakuya had grabbed my arm and pulled me to him.

"Captain Kuchiki!" Jushiro said.

Byakuya kept his sword pointed at Ichigo. "Pick, boy. This human or Rukia."

Ichigo glared at Byakuya, he clenched the grip on his sword.

Rukia walked in front of Ichigo. "Big brother, please let her go! Blossom has nothing to do with this!" Rukia yelled.

I soon felt it, while being held against Byakuya. His heart was racing fast. I didn't know why. I looked up at him, he had his usual calm looks.

"I'm saving them both!" Ichigo yelled.

I stared at Ichigo, I soon noticed he had bandages everywhere on his body.

Am I really worth saving? No, I'm useless to him. I have to do the right thing.

"Ichigo, you're crazy! Get Rukia!" I yelled.

Ichigo stared at me with a shock look. "Blossom,  ca-" I cut him off his words.

"She's right there! Don't pull off a dodo move! I'm not the one on execution!" I yelled.

Ichigo shook his head and charged at Byakuya. "Ichigo, you idiot!" Rukia yelled.

Ichigo realized that his attack was aiming at me. My eyes widened and I quickly shook my head.

"Ichigo, I'm so going to kill you!!!!" I freaked out and closed my eyes.

I waited, but nothing happened. I opened my eyes and saw that Byakuya had blocked Ichigo's attack. Ichigo got sent back .

"You protected her?" Ichigo asked.

Byakuya didn't say a word. Then, a woman appeared in front of Byakuya.

She is a slender, dark-skinned woman of average height, with golden-colored eyes and long purple hair,which was in a ponytail.Her  attire consists of a black, backless, sleeveless undershirt, an orange over-shirt with two white straps on each shoulder, a large beige sash around her waist, and black stretch pants with a pair of lightweight brown shoes,

"Picking on a substitute Soul reaper, huh Byakuya?" She said, smirking.

Byakuya moved me behind him and Jushiro moved me by his side.

"Yoruichi Shihoin. It has been a long time." Byakuya said.
