Chapter 20

After refusing an invitation to drink from Shunsui, the two fought each other.

I wanted to help, but in my mind.. None of the Captain's were really horrible.

There was loud explosion in front of me. When the dust cleared, I saw Chad and Shunsui facing each others back. Chad then fell to the ground.

"Chad!" I yelled, as I ran to him.

Shunsui looked at me and fixed his straw hat. "Sorry, this wouldn't have happened. But, Captain Kuchiki was the one who sent word of you missing. He told us that when you were found, to bring you straight to him."

Nanao walked over to us and glanced at Chad. "The Ryoka is still alive. Do you, want me to deliver the finishing blow?" She asked.

I blocked Chad and glared at her. "Leave Chad alone. Isn't it enough that he's hurt?" I asked.

Shunsui moved Nanao back and smiled at me. "Don't worry. The Ryoka are still a dangerous threat. But, we were ordered to keep them alive. The Head Captain is assuming that a Ryoka murdered Captain Sousuke." Shunsui explained.

"My friends would never kill anyone." I said.

Nanao fixed her glasses and closed her eyes. "This human does have a point. Renji, Ikkaku, Yumichika and Captain Zaraki came across Ryoka's and were defeated. But, they were alive. None of the Ryoka's bothered to kill when they had the chance."

Shunsui held his hand out to me. "We will send squad four members to heal him. Send him to prison afterwards. In the meantime, I got to get you back to Captain Kuchiki. I don't know what you are to him, but he was eager to get you back."

"Shunsu- Captain Kyoraku, I don't want to go back to Byakuya. Please take me to Jushiro." I spoke softly.

Shunsui let out a small laugh. "If most of the captains are letting you call them by their  name. You can just call me Shunsui, and Nanao just Nanao." He said.

I nod my head and placed my hand on his. "Thank you, Shunsui."

I got up and followed Shunsui. "Nanao, take care of the Ryoka. I'm going to drop her off to Ukitake."

"But, Captain Kyoraku. Captain Kuchiki's orders were-" She stopped and let out a soft sigh.

Shunsui glanced at her. "Yeah, you don't want our dear Blossom to release he spiritual pressure. Do you?"

Nanao shook her head. "No, Captain Kyoraku."

I looked at Nanao and looked down. Do they really fear my spiritual pressure?

We were going to leave, but Byakuya had arrived and glared at me. "Why did you run off?" He asked, his voice seemed angry.

I crossed my arms and frowned. "Why are you so obsessed with keeping me around? I'm also pretty sure Renji told you."

Byakuya had his calm look and stared at me, his grey eyes seemed to be studying me. "Yes, he did.I am amazed that you can also hide your spiritual pressure now."

Shunsui had a confused look. "Hey, what did Renji tell you?"

Byakuya closed his eyes and pointed to my ribbons. Shunsui stared at it and had a shocked look.

"Don't tell me... That those small blades on that ribbon is actually a zanpakuto." Shunsui said.

Byakuya opened his eyes and stared at me. "It is. Not only is she human... She has a powerful spiritual pressure and has a zanpakuto. She's not a Soul Reaper at all."

Shunsui lowered his straw hat over his face and smiled. "Anyways, she wants to go to Ukitake. No disrespect, Captain Kuchiki. But,you're a bit obsessed with this human. She has shown multiple signs, that she wants nothing to do with you. You should be more worried about your sister, her execution is in thirty-six hours."

Thirty-six hours already? Byakuya grabbed my arm. "If you come with me, I will let you see that Ryoka."

I looked at Byakuya and frowned. I wanted to see Ichigo again.

I just nod my head and looked down.
