Chapter 18

"You." Yoruichi turned to Ichigo and attacked him.

Ichigo was knocked out and Yoruichi picked him up.

"It's no use." Byakuya quickly appeared behind Yoruichi.

The next thing I knew, they were using flash steps.

Aizen told me a few things that Soul Reapers can do.

"Give us three days. By the third day, I guarantee you. Ichigo can use his bankai." Yoruichi said, before she disappeared.

Rukia then fainted and I ran to her, but as fate would have it, Byakuya grabbed me by the arm and dragged me away.

"Byakuya! Let go!" I yelled.

He didn't listen and continued to drag me. I turned to watch Jushiro and two new Soul reapers attending to Rukia's help.

Byakuya shoved me in his room and followed behind. "Stop being so rough!" I yelled and glared at him.

Byakuya glared back at me this time as well. "I can't believe you used me and let Ichigo pick between me and Rukia." I mumbled and looked down.

"Why did you tell him to pick Rukia instead of you?" Byakuya suddenly asked.

I looked at him and then frowned. Why did I say that...? I know... "Because, I know Ichigo really cares for her and Rukia is the same." I answered.

"The same?" Byakuya stared at me.

I nod my head and hugged myself. "Ichigo and I... We are good friends. He was always around and made me smile. When he met Rukia, everything changed... Even my other friends. Orihime can use her Soten Kisshun to block, attack and heal ... Chad can actually fight .. Uryu, he's a quincy and  he helps Ichigo as well to fight hollows. Ichigo and Rukia have been hunting hollows down. Then, I realized... I can't help Ichigo in any way at all. I can sense spiritual pressure, but just to stand by and do nothing... When Ichigo came here.. He found her first. He found Rukia first. When I saw them smile at each other.. I had to do what was right.. Ichigo should have just taken Rukia and return to the world of the living with her. He could leave me. After all, why save someone who is of no use to you right..?" I said, I felt Byakuya's hand touch my face. His thumb rubbed the side of my eye gently.

My eyes widened and I shook my head. "Wow, I must be sleepy! Hahaha!" I smiled and soon felt myself cry. The moment Byakuya pressed my head against his chest, I let everything out.

Byakuya kept his embrace on me and slowly rubbed my back.

Ichimaru smirked as he was eavesdropping on our conversation. "My, my. Look's like captain Kuchiki has a weakness after all. She is a strange human, hm Captain Kurotsuchi?" He said as he walked away.

Captain Kurotsuchi grinned as he disappeared in the shadows. "All that interests me, is the Quincy."

Byakuya laid me down on his bed, as I had fallen asleep and stared at me. "It pains me to say, that I wish for Captain Sousuke  to remain in your life." He said, as he touched my face.

"Mmn..." I turned away from him and let out soft snores.

Then there was a knock on the door. Byakuya answered it. "Renji?"

"Sorry, to bother you- Shouldn't the human be with Captain Ichimaru?" Renji asked, as he saw my sleeping body on his Captain's bed.

"Her name is, Blossom Hitomawa. What did you come here for?" Byakuya asked, with a stern look on his face.

Renji focused his attention back to his Captan. "We couldn't find you anywhere, but Head Captain Yamamoto called for you."

Byakuya glanced at me and then at Renji. "Stay here and keep watch over her." With that, Byakuya left.

Renji scratched the back of his head and walked in, closing the door behind him.

Byakuya kept a calm look on his face and nods his head. "Very well. I am fine with Rukia's execution to happen in forty-eight hours ." Byakuya said.

Yamamoto stared at the Captain. "I have also heard, that you refused to let Captain Ichimaru have the human. That is very unlike you to disobey my orders."

"It is not because I disrespect you. But, I do not trust Captain Ichimaru." Byakuya said.

"Hmm.. Very well. We all have those people we trust and those we don't." Yamamoto said.

I ran out of Byakuya's room quickly as possible. "Sorry, Renji!" I yelled.

I had used Yui against Renji and ran off to find Ichigo. But, I had bumped into someone. My eyes widened to see who it was.
