I finally got enough questions for a Q&A, so I'm going to answer ten of them now.

1 (For author): Do you actually speak French?

Um... Yes and no. I can understand a lot of French when somebody is speaking it, but I can't speak it myself.

2 (For the squad): Genders/sexualities?

Alex: I'm bi.

John and Peggy (simultaneously): GAY AS FUCK!

Maria: I'm not really sure yet, but I think I'm a lesbian.

Laf: Pan and... *chuckles nervously* ...trans, actually.

Laf: I did not have to!

Herc: Calm down, you guys! Anyway, I'm also gay.

Sam: I'm actually pan and trans, too.

Charlie: I'm just plain ol' gay.

James M.: I'm bi.

Angie: I'm not sure yet...

4 (To author): Why do you enjoy ruining Alex's and John's lives?

John: *clears throat* So there's this type of chocolate called turtle... it's really good.

Theo: Strawberry.

Angie: Same!

Eliza: I like the blue cotton candy one.

Peggy: MANGO!

Hey, me too! I also like mint.

Peggy: MANGO TWINS!

Alex: I like mint, too!

Thomas: Chocolate with rainbow sprinkles.

James M.: Vanilla.

Burr: Same here.

Thomas: BOOOORIIIING.

James: *cocks eyebrow*

Thomas (sheepishly): Sorry.

Sam: Chocolate.

Charlie: Same as Sam.

Laf: French vanilla is the best flavor.

Herc: Um... probably chocolate.

6 (To author): How's your day going?

Actually, really good! I'm re-taking my driving test this afternoon, so I'm just a little worried about that, but hey! It's Friday!

7 (To Francis, Henry Sr., James R., and Daniel): Why are you all so mean?

Henry: I'm not mean! I'm just trying to fix my son!

Francis: *shrugs* I was hired to do a job.

Daniel: That little shit deserved it.

James R.: Which little shit?

Daniel: Alex Hamilton.

James R.: I beat that kid to a pulp. It was pretty cool, till I got arrested.

Daniel: What'll I do to him next?

James Sr.: *walks in* What's goin' on?

Henry Sr.: We're discussing those two brats John and Alex. Someone said we were mean to 'em.

James Sr.: That little punk got what he deserved.

Daniel: I like you guys. Once you get out, we should really do something about those two boys...

8 (To author): Who's your favorite character from Hamilton?

*laughs nervously* You want me to just pick one? Um... I guess... John? But I also really like Peggy and Laf, so I don't think I have a favorite.

9 (To author): Where did you get the inspiration for this story?

I read a ton of fanfics. Some of the events in here are loosely based off of events from fics I've read. Others come from the title. I actually came up with the title before a lot of the major plot, so I went off of that when I was short on ideas.

10 (To author): How did James Hamilton get to California?

Ooh, that's a good one! After the hurricane, he found himself stranded in the ocean. Eventually, he floated up to an island called Puerto Rico. From there, he got a job and saved up enough money to move to Sacramento. He didn't become an official US citizen until after he moved to New York in 2022 to be closer to Alex.
