This part is based on the song Here You Come Again by Dolly Parton. I understand if a lot of people don't really like country. I don't either, but my heart holds a special place for Dolly. She's such a sweetheart. This one is also a little longer than my other stories - almost 2000 words.

Chan was walking around the mall, trying to find a gift for one of his closest friends. It was Felix's birthday in a couple of days, and he wanted to get him something special. It wasn't easy since the younger one never really gave out any hints about what he wanted. He thought about all the gifts he had given him in the past, trying to remember each reaction and which seemed to be the best.

He decided to go with something that he had never gotten the other before and got him an eyeshadow pallet. He walked into the makeup store, looking around for something that seemed like Felix would like. He saw one that had mostly neutral tones with a couple of brighter colors like blues and reds. He figured that Felix would get some use out of it.

He grabbed one and brought it up to the cashier in the middle of the store.

The woman working scanned the item, not seeming to be in a great mood. She didn't make any conversation with Chan, who didn't try to force anything. If she didn't feel like talking to customers, he wasn't going to force her to.

He paid for the item and left the store. Since he still had some time before the mall closed, he walked around some more, now shopping for himself. He wasn't planning on buying anything, but he bought it if he saw something he liked.

After a long day shopping, he made his way home to wrap the gift he bought, eating a little bit after doing so and heading to bed.

The party was the following day, and Chan was just as excited as Felix was.

Chan drove to Felix's house, seeing a line of cars parked outside the home and lined down the street in front of the neighbor's houses and some wrapped around the block. Felix seemed to invite a lot of people. More than Chan had thought he was going to. It didn't bother him at all; he was a social butterfly. He just wasn't expecting this many people to show.

One of the people Felix invited was someone with who Chan was all too familiar, Jeongin.

Jeongin was Chan's ex. Felix didn't think they had any bad blood with each other and didn't think much of inviting the two, especially since he was friends with both men.

Jeongin had already arrived at the party and was standing on the porch outside of the house in the backyard, drinking and chatting with some of his own friends. He had come with a couple of his friends, thanking one of them for being the designated driver that night, mostly since he didn't drink alcohol himself.

Jeongin headed inside the house after his conversation had died down a little bit and went to get something to eat.

There was a line by the table with food. He grabbed a plate and waited until he got in front of the trays with an abundance of food.

He slowly started to fill his plate, his stomach growling as he looked at everything there was to eat. He made his way to the dining table, sitting in one of the wooden chairs. He started eating, watching the table fill up.

He looked around at all the people that were eating, not seeing anyone familiar. There were a few faces that he had seen before a couple of times, but none that he had an established relationship with.

He started eating his food, making conversation with the person sitting next to him, making more friends, and trying to get comfortable with the large group of people who now flooded the semi-small building.
