Double update? Yeah!

This one is based on the song by the same name, Vampires Will Never Hurt You by My Chemical Romance. This song is from their first album and pretty raw and I guess kinda heavy, but I still love it. This story is also longer than the others like Stalker was.

Jeongin was at home, waiting for Chan to arrive. They decided to hang out together, mostly because Chan said something was vital to discuss with the younger. Jeongin had no idea what it was about, which made him slightly nervous. He was never too great with serious situations and hated confrontation. His mind raced to try to think about the millions of possibilities that Chan wanted to discuss tonight, hoping it wasn't anything too big.

He patiently sat in the living room, waiting for a knock on the door or an "I'm here" text. He scrolled through social media while waiting, while his leg shook rapidly in anticipation and nervousness.

Sooner than Jeongin was expecting, he heard a knock. He immediately got up, looking out of the window to check who it was before opening the door, letting Chan in.

He noticed that Chan had a bag with him. It looked like it was carrying a couple of items, but nothing too heavy. He never carried anything around with him usually, so this confused Jeongin.

"Hi! Come in!" Jeongin started the conversation. He smiled brightly at the older boy, hoping for a smile in response.

"Hey," Chan said. He gave Jeongin a half-hearted smile, not feeling too good about what he would talk to the boy about.

It was something that was personal to Chan and something that he'd never told anyone before, since he knew first of all, that no one would believe him, and if they did, they'd be terrified of him and probably leave him for good. He didn't want to lose Jeongin, but he believed that he would be able to understand what he was going to say and be able to handle it without freaking out too much. He expected an adverse reaction at first, but he thought that the boy would eventually warm up to him.

After seeing the fake smile that Chan had given him, he got nervous again. He wasn't sure what to do. He didn't know that Chan would go straight into the conversation without a little bit of warm-up first. Chan was always straightforward and blunt, though, never trying to sugar coat anything.

"We should probably sit for this one," he said. He walked over to the sofa and patted the spot next to him for Jeongin.

Jeongin followed and sat next to Chan and looked at him expectantly. He folded his hands in his lap and began to twiddle with thumbs, trying to give his nerves some movement to flow out and relax.

"Okay, so, this is... this will probably scare you," Chan started. He looked up into Jeongin's eyes to see his reaction to that statement, seeing his eyes widen slightly, but not too dramatically.

"No. It will scare you."

Jeongin's eyebrows furrowed together and raised in worry, now a hundred times more nervous than he was previously. His leg began shaking again, his thumbs still involuntarily moving. He still couldn't think of what Chan thought was so necessary for him to talk about like this.

"So, I know I'm never usually this serious about anything, and I usually like to joke around about things, but this isn't a joking matter. It's almost a life or death situation, to be completely honest."

Chan didn't want to scare the younger boy, but this was the only way he could think of to bring up how dire the situation was. What Chan was trying to tell him was that he was a vampire. Lately, his urges for blood has gotten more aggressive, and it's been hard for him to control himself around anyone. He needed Jeongin to help him, and as much as he didn't want to ask such an innocent and good kid like Jeongin, he trusted him completely.
