** Muscle function loss is when a muscle does not work or move normally. The medical term for complete loss of muscle function is paralysis
Michaels POV:
I turn on the x-ray machine placing the x-ray image and turning on the light.
"well, good news is you didn't damage any of the progress your surgeries have done. The bad news is you have muscle function loss in your right leg. It seems you have it on your left leg as well but it's recovering quicker than your right, so you'll definitely be feeling some tiredness until the shock in your spine diminishes and allows full proximity movement again. Which means -" I turn around to look at Luke who is most definitely not listening to anything I'm saying as he's staring to the ceiling. "Luke, are you even listening to me?"
We're interrupted by Ashton walking in in a hurry, most likely by seeing Luke's name on the 'checked in' board.
He goes toward a definitely checked out Luke and grabs his chart "What the fuck happened?! Why are you here?"
"relax, the doofus tried to get up to get his phone without waking me up and he fell. Brought him in just to make sure that he didn't have anything internal. I didn't feel anything out of place but his spine was numb and temporary loss of movement so Michael said he'd need x-rays to make sure nothing got displaced." Calum said
Ashton sighs as he puts the chart down walking over to me to see his x-ray.
"Maybe we should cuff his feet to the bed so he can't stand up at all" I say loud, effectively catching Luke's attention with wide eyes staring at me, making Calum and I laugh at his expression. "I'm kidding Luke, I'm kidding. I just needed to get your attention back. What's going on in that big ass head of yours?"
"nothing. The pain meds just made me sleepy."
"well, you're free to go, no cuffs needed to keep you in bed if you promise to not pull the little stunt you did today." I say signing of his papers.
"Seriously," Ashton pitched in "and take your pain meds if you're feeling discomfort or pain Luke. Seriously they help you heal faster. You're not doing yourself any favors if you don't take them."
"I second that. Now get dressed and get out of here and order me some pizza." I say as Ashton and I walk out.
Calum's POV:
"Come on, let me get your clothes and we'll get some ice cream on our way home." I say helping Luke sit up and slowly swing his legs out.
"thanks, but I kinda just wanna go home."
"Luke, let's get some ice cream. It'll do you good." Passing him his sweatpants as he finished putting on his shirt.
"Cal, I really don't want any ice cream. I don't feel too good. I just really want to go home and just sleep honestly. I'm ready for wheelchair."
"No, I'm --" my phone starts to ring as I get his wheelchair. "It's Ana. Hey babe, give me 5 minutes and I'll call you back? I'm helping Lu right now.... okay, gimme 5. bye, love you."
"dude don't hang up on your girlfriend because of me."
"Shut up and let's go. I'm not having this conversation again with you. And we're stopping for some ice cream on the way home."
"Calu--"
"I'm ignoring you." I laugh as I push him out to my car helping him in and letting him put on his seatbelt as I shut his door.
I take my phone out of my pocket and hit dial on Ana's number as I get in and start my car.
"helloo Mr. Hood"
