Bell managed to counter Tristan's attack which wasn't surprising since all Bell had been doing is being passive throughout this fight. But what shocked the crowd was what happened after that.

This battle, that had always been in Tristan's favor was now in the process of being reversed. It was now Tristan's turn to be on the receiving end of Bell's attacks.

If Meliodas were to see this on the outside perspective, he would see an outline of Zeldris' figure and Bell's being aligned.

Bell chained his attacks and swung his blade, attack after attack, Bell was being aggressive, it was like his earlier display of a novice was an illusion.

The crowd was shocked, Freya was shocked and Ais just titled her head on the other side.

Meliodas was having a hard time knowing what was going on as he could only see things through Bell's eyes but he saw that Bell was somehow winning.

He was confused, the crowd was confused, when did Bell suddenly get good? It was not like he was doing bad before, he was doing pretty well compared to an average level 2, it was just that his opponent was way better but now the role was somehow reversed.

What happened? Was Bell hiding his true skill? But what was the point?

Looking at his face earlier in the spar, it didn't seem that Bell was holding back, it looked like during the fight, Bell had some sort of enlightenment that boosted his skill level in swordsmanship.

But how can someone improve that fast and instantaneously?

Freya and the woman captain felt something was gonna happen but they didn't expect that the change would be this drastic.

Bell didn't know how he suddenly got better and the only thing he knew was that watching Zeldris somehow improved his swordsmanship. But how can someone improve that fast by just watching? If it was that easy to improve your skills, then what was the point of training and honing your skills in the first place?

Meliodas listened to what Bell was thinking by their soul-link magic and could barely provide an answer. The only thing he thought of was that Bell has a heaven-defying level of talent or this soul-link magic that the Supreme Deity casted had hidden functions that they didn't understood/knew yet.

He didn't know what or how this happened but Bell knew that he somehow learned Zeldris' swordsmanship.

The memory that he saw benefitted him and his instincts were correct to comprehend the swordsmanship that Zeldris displayed, if he could learn how to fight better with this method, isn't it kinda cheating?

The amazon twins who were indifferent towards the battle now watched in amazement, that white-haired kid's swordsmanship suddenly improved.

But alas while Bell did perform Zeldris swordsmanship, it wasn't perfect and there were flaws plus Bell's shoulder joints were hurting and is gonna pop out of his body from the aggressive sword  attacks that he is performing, his body hasn't developed enough to handle Zeldris' sword technique.

In other words, the erratic movements of his own attacks put a huge strain on his body.

As for why he didn't stop... well it was the adrenaline.

*crack* *crack*

That sound.... it was the sound of bones breaking,  but it didn't came from Tristan who was being overwhelmed, it came from Bell, whose body who is close to reaching its toll from performing Zeldris' sword style.

Tristan saw the opportunity but was too badly hurt to capitalize on it, both of them were hurting but they willed themselves and attacked each other without defending.
