Meliodas says his goodbyes to Bete and Ais and assured them that he isn't gonna hold a grudge for their mistake, he was actually thankful for them as they provided the perfect opportunity to justify his level up to the guild and not cause too much suspicions around him.
He grabbed both the drop items and magic stones and realized that he doesn't have anything that he could use to store them. Ais saw this and handed him her spare empty pouch and then says his thanks.
Ais and Bete went back to regroup with their familia members on the lower floors and Meliodas headed to the surface. They immediately realized their original purpose for coming to the upper floors as the atmosphere turned awkward for them and went in the same direction as Meliodas, heading to the surface.
They speedrun the upper floors to check for any escaped minotaurs while Meliodas was just walking casually while slaying some monsters at the same time, they were much easier to handle as Ais and Bete thinned the herd for him. Despite Meliodas telling them that he never saw any minotaurs during his descent to the dungeon. They still wanted to make sure, so they don't want to be responsible for anyone's deaths.
Meliodas' impression of Bete changed a bit, initially he thought he was just some another rude jerk who became arrogant because he is strong and looked down on the weak, but when he saw the seriousness on his face when he was doing their mission, he came to respect him a bit albeit they procrastinated their duties for a while because they were amazed by his fight against the minotaurs.
When they were no longer in his field of vision, he whispered 'Huh, Interesting, I feel like we're gonna meet again someday as if fate desired it'
Meliodas then realized he forgot about Bell and wondered why he was quiet all this time, he checked up on him to realize he was in a sleep state once more.
He wondered for the reason why he was unconscious and he concluded that he either passed out from shock by watching his fight or that weird feeling of passing out that he got during the fight was somehow the cause.
He thought that the latter was most likely as Bell wouldn't be that weak hearted to pass out like that and even if he was shocked watching his fight, he would be more excited and filled with energy, remembering his fascination of hero stories, he wouldn't want to miss this fight despite his body being in danger.
He created a mental note to remind himself to ask Hestia what that feeling was, not being able to use magic was a huge inconvenience and the great decrease of their combat level in a prolonged fight could be fatal.
Though he already figured that the feeling of passing out somehow involved with his mana to a certain extent.
It was still in the middle of the afternoon when he exited the dungeon, he was in the middle of deciding whether to go to the guild, exchange his magic stones and report his level up or not.
He decided that he would wait for Bell to wake up, for various reasons. Because of the color of their eyes changing between on who is in control, Bell's red eyes was a noticeable feature when you look at him at first glance.
Eina would recognize the change and would bug him about it. Another reason was to wait for a specific time when the number of adventurers inside the guild would dwindle a bit. On the chance that Eina and the other guild receptionists would shout at disbelief at his growth and then resulted in grabbing attention, which they were trying to avoid.
Since it was in the middle of the afternoon, the guild would be busy and filled with adventurers returning from their excursion from the dungeon.
Meliodas went to direction of the abandoned church. His pouches filled with magic stones grabbed the attention of several or more adventurers, who were either broke, desperate for money or failed in their dungeon diving.
Meliodas noticed a small group of adventurers were following him. He thought he had nothing to worry about getting robbed in broad daylight since he thought that no one would be stupid enough to do that, especially with the increased security around the city.
But little did he know how desperate they were in getting quick cash as they were waiting for the perfect chance to jump him, they noticed that he wasn't going to the direction to the guild or any other magic stone exchange facilities and he looked like a rookie and they immediately thought he was an easy prey.
He walked in a different direction, away from the abandoned church since leading them to Bell's home was not a good idea.
He took this opportunity to walk around the city despite his gear being on the brink of getting destroyed, surprisingly, his clothes didn't look all that torn and worn out despite fighting minotaurs earlier, he was being careful to not receive any damage from them plus with his experience and skills, that wasn't much of a problem.
But he still got weird looks from people because of the blood stain and hole on the left shoulder part of his shirt. Meliodas never really minded the stares but was growing uncomfortable not because of the people staring at him but because of his pursuers still following him even after some time has passed.
He didn't know the strength of the people following him as he can no longer detect magic energies that people emanate when he was in the world of Britannia. So he was being careful to not endanger Bell any further and spotted a person that looked like was patrolling around and assumed that the person was some sort of guard and immediately went to their direction.
He immediately went to the person and said "Hey, I need some help"
The guard was a beautiful azure haired woman, none other than Shakti Varma captain of the Ganesha Familia, Meliodas didn't know who she was though but Meliodas knew she was strong because of the 'aura' she was emitting was similar to the 2 adventurers that he met in the dungeon earlier.
Something about high leveled adventurers that Meliodas felt about them made them different from other adventurers, they have this some sort of aura to them that differentiate people from different levels that alerted him in thinking 'this person is strong' though he can only feel this 'aura' in close proximity, similar to sensing magical energy in his world but limited.
Shakti looked at the boy and saw that he had a troubled expression on his face, she knew something was wrong and says "Is there something I can help with?"
