Chapter 23 : Black and Silver

It was still very early in the morning around 5 AM because Meliodas suggested that they should report to the guild as early as possible due to the fact that there would be less people present. Though some rumors about Bell's exploits might spread, they weren't that worried because they doubted that most people would take it seriously considering how ridiculous it was.

With Meliodas' suggestion to continue Bell's training, they were heading towards the direction of their training spot. They took the routes that they were familiar with until they eventually approached the area of the Hostess of Fertility.

Someone then tapped on Bell's shoulder, turning his head to see the culprit, he saw a beautiful woman wearing a green uniform with silver eyes and hair. 

"Um, Mr. Adventurer, you dropped this" The woman says, while holding a magic stone in her hands.

"Oh, thanks, how clumsy of me" Bell says, then grabbed the magic stone and pocketed it in his pouch.

"Your welcome" the woman says, then a grumbling noise came from Bell's stomach, earning a giggle from the woman. 

As they were in a hurry and anxious about the report, Bell only ate a light breakfast.

"You seem quite hungry, here you can have this" the woman says while handing him a lunch box seemingly out of nowhere.

Bell protested but the woman convinced him to take it regardless. 

"Thanks, I'll make sure to pay it back" Bell says

Then a mischievous grin appeared on the woman's face that Bell didn't seem to notice.

"If you want to pay me back, come eat at the Hostess of Fertility later" the woman says

"Uh, sure, I'll be glad to" Bell says

Meliodas caught on to the manipulative nature of the silver haired woman but didn't say anything because she didn't seem to have any negative intentions.

('Huh, she knows how to bait customers in, very clever')

Bell not minding what Meliodas just said, continued to smile at the woman, then she introduced herself.

"My name is Syr, and you are?" Syr says

"Bell Cranel, nice to meet you" Bell says

Syr then showed a bright smile that was almost blinding as a small, unnoticeable glint appeared in her silver eyes.

"Well, thanks for the food, I'll stop by in the evening" Bell says as he continued walking towards his original destination.

Syr nodded and then waved at the boy before entering the place she currently works at.

(Hehe, you got catfished big time)

"Muu, don't tease me, I was just returning the kind gesture plus now that we have a decent amount of money, I can't wait to eat actual food" Bell says

Meliodas grinned after Bell finished his words. They then arrived at their training location, ate some of Syr's homemade food and then psyched himself up.

During training Meliodas mostly just taught Bell the basics of knife and dagger mastery while also training him to improve his reaction time, kinetic vision, proprioception and dynamic moving abilities. Though Bell currently does not have any weapons to practice with, they can always emulate one using their imaginations along with sticks and branches that resemble the weapons Bell used.

Since he lived most of his life being a farmer, he was never taught on how to fight properly since there was no need to, for now Meliodas was focused on building the foundations of Bell's fighting style.
